Also a feature on Chestetfield's FA Cup semi final with a familiar face (and contribution from Billy Mercer):

Good to see that Ramsey was on a different plant ?
Good to see Blake and Grezza in there.

Yes I saw this with Billy Mercer in Chesterfield's nets.
So I got to wondering if Dyche ever played against us?
Jan 1st 1992, away at Chesterfield, he is on the team on the back of the programme, did he play?
Seeing as we won 2.0 he couldn't have been that good.
I went to that match, but can't remember him playing.
2 memories, fancy dress, lots of Burnley fans and singing
"Chesterfield, Chesterfield, ra, ra, ra"

I think he played against us for Millwall; pretty sure there's been posts/photos on here from the game(s).

Sorry yes my fault, I worded it badly.
I was wondering if
I had seen him play for Chesterfield against us.
Did he play at the Turf that season for Chesterfield I wonder?
Did he actually play in the away match on New Years day?

Alexander is the midfield sitter. In the season we got promoted with Burnley, he played 66 games, was about 37 at the time and never had less than an eight out of 10 performance. He was absolutely phenomenal. His attitude and application were better than anything I've seen.
...........
Blake is probably the most skilful player I ever played alongside. He could do things with a ball that I gasped at. He used to turn defenders inside out. The season we got promoted, he was unbelievably good.
Thanks Steven.

Remember someone I fancy dress on terrace with broken bagpipes being upset because he had borrowed them and promised to return them intact

Wasnt there a few Burnley fans dressed in full gorilla suits who went in the Chesterfield terrace and got kicked out and walked down the side of the pitch and back into the Burnley crowd?

I don't imagine Thommo will either,he's probably never scored a better one in his career, normally he was a goal box poacher.

Seem to remember a photo being posted that showed Sean Dyche lining up as Chesterfield captain with Jay Rod being a Burnley mascot at Turf Moor.

Poor commentary....he had several opportunities to mention that Sean Dyche was our future manager.
