Thanks for this post; I will watch it later. Also it jogged my memory of the match at Sheffield Wednesday the same season when it was MOTD. A great day, a wonderful Leighton James goal and memories of several members of the family quashed into my Morris 1000 van.

I remember that season's Sheffield Wednesday match at Hillsborough. Burnley fans were on the Kop in large numbers for that game, loads of trouble in there that day.
And also as you mentioned, a brilliant goal from Leighton James and we were the main feature on MOTD even though it was a 2nd Division game.

Taffy had 8 goals in 13 matches after the Sheff Wed game. He didn’t score again until April 21st. Laid many on though.
