Where is this

In these long days without football and too much time on our hands I am hoping fellow Clarets can help solve a problem for me.
When I cleared my parent’s belongings, I came across the attached photograph. It certainly looks like the Burnley area but it would be great to know exactly where. I’m guessing from the design of some of the extensions on the houses that it was taken in the late 1970s or 1980s. The only building of any note is the church or more likely chapel building on the left-hand side which someone might recognise.
Thanks for your help – it obviously isn’t a competition because I don’t know the answer!

Can't place this at all - and I don't recognise the church although it has to be said I'm no expert on churches

I'm trying to think where there is a church like that one in Cliviger though.

I thought maybe Lane Bottom/ Haggate at first but it's too densely populated for down there.

There is St John's CofE Church across from the Ram in Cliviger which has a decent sized graveyard, also Mount Zion Independent Methodist Chapel but it is definitely not that building.

And definitely not St John the Divine, which is up on the hill above the graveyard and in a distinctive architectural style. I don't think it can be Cliviger, though it was my first thought.
The church is the clue but I can't place it.

I got the St John right, missed the Divine but there is a climb to it from the road. And definitely not the chapel either.

I'd go for Sabden. That looks like the bottom of pendle behind the houses at the back.

Yeah think that’s Sabden. Pretty sure the circled area below is the overflow from Churn Clough Reservoir. Maybe taken from Black Hill?

Good shout. It’s definitely Sabden. The run off from the reservoir and Badger Hill Cottages the furthest terrace before Pendle.

The church must have been rebuilt since the picture was taken.

Can’t believe I didn’t get it as drive through every day.

Sabden.
The Church Building that is visible is the old Baptist Chapel which was demolished and replaced by a residence called , I think, "The old Chapel House".
The chursc relocated to the building behind which was the sunday school rooms

When I was a child in Clitheroe my dad used to drive us through Sabden on the way to Burnley to see family and the clarets. Remember that church, think it was on the left hand side as you drove down the road off Pendle.

I believe that the actual photograph has been taken from the dogging spot at the top of the hill outside Sabden

On google maps the new building is called a Piece Of Heaven, just below Crowtrees Rd junction.

Treacle mine is hidden for security reasons, as is the surface to air missile protection site.

The mock-Tudor beaming on one of the foreground buildings is really strange, I wonder if it is still there?
