Xmas 2020/early 2021 i like to hedge my bets, but i think they'll try and get a festive schedule on,this is the traditional money maker for the lower league alongside Easter, and obviously Easter's gone for a burton this year.

I always thought something was going to prevent me getting my Concession Season Ticket next season. Just as well it isn't that important in the grand scheme of things.

August 2021 after full season of restrictions.

Under 10. Seriously, I am hoping for the best, but as a older ST holder (and still paying each month),I doubt I will go on until there is a vaccine.I want to see the clarets and my family for a lot more years yet.

The money maker is the Sky and BT money .

A couple of 2,000 walkons on Boxing Day is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

What a ridiculous comment you made. Its 2020 not 1970

And to think 7 weeks ago I was mocked when I said footy with crowds wouldn’t return before March 2021. Looks like most people agree with that now.

Obviously the TV money is vital, but if you take a club such as Accy Stanley or Morecambe,if they have 2 home games over the Xmas/New Year period, and then possibly a 3rd FA Cup tie to come the following weekend, those few games can ensure they make a profit,or at the worst break even for the season,in comparison to the top 2 divisions the TV money will form a much lower % of income for clubs of that stature, hence why many owners are hesitant to commence behind closed doors,as for a lot of clubs in League 1 & 2 this wouldn't be feasible, and once their outgoings are taken into account they'd likely lose money.

way I read the thread up to this point, slightly more than 50% say it will be before March 2021 so it definitely does not look like most people agree with you, in fact the majority (slight though it is) up to now disagree with you.

Best way to sort this imo would be to restart this season at the same time as the lockdown was implemented next March, finish it and carry on as normal from there with a pre-season and start 21/22 season, in effect we would have missed 20/21 season, so I'm going for March 21. But very much hope it will be sometime in September 20

From what I have seen online and heard in the news next March/April should be the about the most likely time that the virus is no longer much of a problem. Some Pharmaceuticals and scientists working on vaccines and treatments are predicting that there is a good chance that a vaccine will be ready for large scale distribution by the fourth quarter of this year. Others are saying next spring and yet others are saying a little later. My guess (for what it's worth) is that large numbers of people will be immune by next March.

Until then the government will likely remove the restrictions a little at a time and quickly revert back if the pandemic takes off again (or at least I hope they will).

If this turn of events occurs we should be able to have full attended football again by March/April. Finishing the season at that time would be a 'best fit' solution.

Missing a year's worth of finances would not be good but it's not just football that is going to lose out financially through this.

Has paulatky really just called someone else's comment ridiculous.

This is a poster who has another username, uptheclarets, was found out when he forgot to swap accounts and now pretends it's his wife.

I'm going to guess at this September.

4 months is an awful long time in the scheme of things.

Every 3rd seat for season ticket holders who wish to attend.

Sept 12th 2020. So much more is known now about the virus and how it interacts with people compared to a couple of months ago when all the terror stories were spreading faster than the pandemic. Many academics believe the government will stop reporting cases separately by the end of July as death rate will be so low. Crowds limited to 25000 at every ground until Christmas. Attend or don't - it will be your choice

Well considering how lockdown is (let’s face it) essentially over, and a second wave hits, I predict no fans will be attending games at all next season! Hope I’m wrong!!
