“An enjoyable day out” doesn’t quite cut it!
Spent the day with my Dad watching Burnley become league champions.
It was the best day ever.

Great day! Unfortunately I was in the stand opposite. Me and my Dad ended up holding the end of the banner you can see in the photos. We joined in with the Charlton fans chanting for the owners to leave! I miss football!!!

Ah yes, the day Middlesbrough won the Championship (at least, you'd have thought they did looking at the endless coverage Sky Sports gave them after our game finished that afternoon)

Yes and manager of the season who won jack sh*t was Chris Houghton; I will always regard that as a grave insult to both our club and Sean

It doesn't does it? We went on the Friday, plans changed because of the leg you can see on one of the pics. But a brilliant two days, even going into the same pub as Sean Dyche on the Friday night.

Brilliant day. As well as the Claret joy I always remember the big white sheet with "LIAR" and a downward pointing arrow on it being hung from the stand directly above the Director's box ! Well they got their wish with Roland leaving at the beginning of this year but they are seemingly worse off than ever having ben taken over by charlatans....a real shame as I always think Charlton are a proper community club and it's a great ground to go to.

Michael Duff's last match. SD did what he had to do by allowing Michael to get a farewell from our fans even if it wasn't at TM.

Of all the protests that afternoon, the sheet with the arrow and LIAR was by far the best. I've said it before but going to Charlton doesn't feel like going to a game in London. They do have a more community feel to them.

It was a fabulous day, train from Lichfield and then waiting outside the pub at ten o clock for ale and breakfast. Always remember having a pint with Rowls and his dad - we'd previously been at loggerheads on this board. Great lads.
In the third pic down I'm in the home corner, nearest to the Clarets fans - I became a Charlton member that Easter just to ensure a ticket. The steward sussed me out very early but said I could stay so long as I didn't "jubilate". 3-0 ? I jubilated all over the place !!!
Off to Blackheath later for even more ale and back to Euston, just in time, for the train to Lichfield TV, ****** as a rat.

I think it was one of the pubs in that terror attack last year, when a couple of scrotes went mad stabbing people ... yes it was they crashed their van just outside the pub and went on their rampage...

He was in with his staff and John B who lives just round the corner from where we were staying.

Indeed, beggars belief that a manager winning the league with a 23 game unbeaten run can be considered less worthy of a manager of the season award than a manager who finished 3rd and won SFA!
Any chance if the roles were reversed and Brighton won the league in same circumstances and Burnley finished 3rd Sean would have won it? No chance

That and the fact they (The FA) let them take the Trophy up to The Riverside.... "Because of the chance of trouble due to the problems Charlton were having with the *Fans Protests" To present ot to either Boro or Brighton there would have had to be an Avalanche of goals from Charlton and one of those two.... to overtake our superior goal difference... Yes that season the EFL slapped us every which way they could.
*We travelled back up to to Euston with several Charlton fans with whom we got on famously...
Definitely a memorable day in every way.

Nothing to do with the FA - it was a Football League decision. The reason the trophy wasn't at Charlton was because of the problems there a year earlier when the trophy was there to present to Bournemouth.

Not at all, two completely different organisations, but it was clear they were never going to allow the trophy to go there after the previous year.
