... Injuries to 4 key players
4 players out of contract walked, the chips were well and truly down... What system could we possibly play?
Then Dyche pulls that out of the bag - with that bench! Unreal!
The Clarets are up to 8th - unreal, take a bow Sir Sean

Think we have also discovered The Bardsley/Brownhill combination which defensively is very sound

Will certainly have gone up even further in Steve Parish's estimations after that, I'd have thought.

Send them Rigg instead, he can help them to establish a new club philosophy. If they don't want him, pay them to take him.

The ball is slap bang in Garlick’s court.
He needs to be doing everything he can to get Dyche back on side and planning for next season.

Said it before, Garlick's first signing for the summer should a 3 year extension for SD - with at least a 10% increase. The man is irreplaceable.

I think Dyche has been on a 1 year rolling contract for some time at his request so doubt he will sign for 3 years

He signed a four and a half year deal in January 2018 keeping him at the club until the end of the 2021 - 2022 season. Reports suggest his salary is £3.5 m per annum.

West Ham? If they stay in the Prem, the only club likely to be looking for a manager in the top flight.

If there is a Rigg issue, then Rigg should be told the rules.
He probably doesn't do anything, personally, anyway!

Thought he had signed for 5 years?
Do you mean base 5 years, which rolls each year, so always 5 in hand?

From 2018 BBC....
Burnley manager Sean Dyche has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2021-22 season.
The 46-year-old has been in charge at Turf Moor since 2012, winning 97 of his 245 matches.
He has also led the Clarets to two promotions from the Championship into the Premier League.
"I am quite young in management terms," said Dyche. "I am still learning and still improving, I believe, so I think it is the right place to be."
Dyche had been linked with the managerial vacancies at Leicester and Everton earlier this season following an impressive start to the season.
But his side have failed to win their last eight games in all competitions, losing their last four.
"It's a very good environment and I enjoy it and I enjoy the connection I have with this area," added Dyche. "There is lots of work to be done, but I am definitely in for the work to be done."
Dyche had been on a 12-month rolling contract, but his new long-term deal is reportedly worth £3.5m a year.

That's nowhere near enough. This man has generated at least half a billion £s in additional revenue for the club in the time he's been here, and counting.
However, rather then I pay rise, I think what he really wants is a realistic budget to work with.

The rolling contract was his suggestion and the long term deal was his suggestion as well - he is the best paid individual in the club's history - £3.5m equates to £67k a week. or to put it more simply his take home pay is around what Hendrick was earning before deductions.

Why are people blaming Rigg with no evidence to support their claim that this is his fault? He could have found lots of players for all we know, but it's not him that makes the decision to bring those players in, or sign the cheques.

We think he is irreplaceable, SD knows that too, anyone in that position who is employed and not working for themselves should try and gain more reward especially as he is a person that over achieves with the tools he gets season in season out. SD must look at other people within the industry he works in - example OZIL - he must look at what he gets paid and what he contributes and must feel he is grossly underpaid !!!!!!!

Doesn't need a mentor but could certainly benefit from one with the knowledge and experience Roy Hodgson has.
Im sure Dyche isn't arrogant enough to think he knows it all and hasn't got anything to learn and Im sure he already speaks to lots of older more experienced managers to seek advice so this looks like a match made in heaven

Where does this realistic budget come from?
I have asked the question on the 'Finances-You decide thread' but nobody seems to have given an answer where the board could improve.
