Footy 9/7/20

Leeds-Stoke still goalless, vital game for both.

And then later Bournemouth & Villa face must win matches, i'll be  if they record victories though, of the duo i'd say Bournemouth have the better chance as Spurs form can be erratic, i can't see Villa getting a sniff against United.

Toffees and the Saints also play, draws probably the ideal outcome for us in that one.

Love to see Bounrmouth beat Spurs and keep us in touch with them. And much as I'd like to see Man Ure kept out of the Champions League, I can't see Villa beating them. They haven't lost since we tubbed them at OT.

1-0 Leeds, penalty after one of the dumbest decisions to make a tackle I've ever seen

Silly pen to give away there for Stoke, cant see them getting back into it now. If they'd kept it at 0-0 for 60 minutes, Leeds might've started getting desperate. Brentford are going great guns at the moment and putting a fair bit of pressure on Leeds. Now Leeds can relax Ill go 3-0

In the Prem, I cant see Villa getting anything in the late match, Man U are in very good form currently (13 points /15 from last 5 games) and Villa are showing no signs of improvement at all (2/15). Ill go 0-2

Cherries have lost the last 5 games and are dire but Spuds can vary anything between very decent and poor so they have a chance. 1-2

Everton v Southampton - not that bothered either way but I hope Ings gets a goal. 2-2

Not quite sure how Spurs didn't get a penalty then, VAR really is pointless

Not clear and obvious enough apparently, daft push on Kane, even though he went down easy, that could have been a pen, and Bournemouth couldn't have complained, Jose certainly thought it merited a spot-kick, but i guess he would.

remember the one Arsenal got against us when Ramsey did his impression of Swan Lake - Kings push on Kane was at least 10 times the force !! lol

I agree but the VAR official rarely overrules the onfield referee. Fraid i don't recall Ramsay's dive, but there's been that many dubious decisions for the Arsenal against us down the years, that you forget some of them.

He does come from that area, so maybe he'll be happy being a big fish in a small pond?

Think how many goals he might score in the Chumpionship if Bournemouth can afforsd to keep him.

It's a very poor game, Spuds are a shadow of the team they were for most of last season - with mostly the same players.

Exactly. They look completely disjointed and static. I get the feeling there’s trouble at t’mill.

He’d taken one to the ribs, shortly before, from a Kane free kick. A bad couple of minutes for the lad.

Great result for us, means even if we lose at Anfield, we'll still be 10th, a nice 4 point gap back to Everton now, every chance of a top half finish. :D

Bournemouth really did look to put a shift in tonight. They hounded Spurs but a lack of quality resulted in dropped points. With fight like that they stand a chance, although a small one considering their run-in.

We just need Spurs and Arsenal to draw on Sunday now and it's game on for Europe.

A point or three for us at Liverpool would help as well

Keeps West Ham in the mix at the bottom as well, though I suspect they'll escape.

All we can do is keep putting points on the board, but it's a bonus when 3 of the teams around us drop points.

Spurs were poor tonight, if that's how they've been playing, i'm not surprised they've only recorded 3 away wins in the PL.

Decent point for Bournemouth, but you felt they needed all 3, given their tough run-in.
