Tbh Klopp should be moving Robertson away from the officials as his manager.
For a team to have the guard of honour onto the pitch and behave like that at the end is beyond embarrassing...absolute lacking in class as usual
Robertson should be charged absolutely

It's understandable he's annoyed because they didn't win but the language and his lack of respect towards authority ought to be a booking - at least.
Little wonder player's don't respect the officials when they ignore and put up with foul language like that.

Passion is fine. Swearing and insulting a referee needs punishing. He should have been booked as a minimum.

I’d love it if a ref gave some back tbh. Why is it ok for someone to be abused like that and not respond? The ref should either book him or fire something back just as insulting.

Nah. He’s trying to influence them and intimidate them for next time. Hopefully that ref and linesman doesn’t forget it.
Passion and frustrations fine.

This sort of stuff gets said every week without fail. We’ve only heard it because the lack of fans. I don’t think any of the obscenities are aimed at the ref in a foul/abusive way, they’re more to make a point. (I.e it’s more how the f is that not a pen rather that ref you’re an f ing that).
There’s a lot of confidence with Burnley fans that JBG got a touch on the ball, I’m not 100%, it’s very minimal if anything and I think if it was the other way we’d be calling the ref for big team bias.

Pathetic behaviour.
All this c**p about Liverpool and Klopp being classy and sporting - the player was petulant (not passionate) and the manager abject.
But it’s always funny to see a whining Scot.

Whether it was a pen or not the ref gave nothing and it was not a (clear and obvious) error. Therefore, no pen and move on. Robertson was like a spoilt brat....

I posted the link not because of the language he used etc - I just didn't understand his point. What was he complaining about ? JBG gets the ball so no pen, no fouls on set pieces etc - I like Robertson and I'm pleased someone who isn't a big name has gone on to do good things, I just have no clue what game he thinks he played in

No amount of money can buy class. Sadly that is something he will never have. Can’t believe Dyche would allow that sort of behaviour towards officials. Needs hauling before the FA. Bitter. The behaviour since project restart has been noticeably good towards officials. This isn’t.

I can understand his frustration for the pen. He will think he got wiped out and prob won’t know there was a touch of the ball and/or the contact was outside the box.
How he’s put it across is the issue. Shouldn’t be behaving like that and if he does it should be addressed with a ban.

Not disagreeing it wasn't a penalty. JBG got the ball first. Would have been very soft if it had been given.

In Rugby he’d be missing a few games then again, they’ve successfully built a culture of respect for their refs.
Quite why football can’t build the same is beyond me. The ref could have given Robertson a red for that tirade and could have been easily backed up by PGMOL. Scousers aside, not many fans would argue with a red for that.

You can understand it if the points lost could cause you potential relegation or to miss out on the league title etc. When you’ve won the league by 20 odd points it is embarrassing and Klopp should have pulled him away from the officials instead of adding his own twopenneth.
Tbh the reason there is limited respect for officials is partly because they do nothing in circumstances like that. If the ref shows him the red card there can be no complaints and that’s what he should do.
I’d love to be a journo at the next conference with Klopp because my question would be ‘why did u stand there and allow one of your players to abuse an official at full time without you doing anything about it’

There is nothing to discuss. Joey is in front of Robertson, stretches and plays the ball and Robertson manufactures the contact by running into Joey's legs. This is happening more and more in the modern game and is just an attempt to 'win' a penalty by conning the officials.

This is VAR working as designed.
If the ref gives the pen it should not be overturned.
If the ref does not give the pen it should not be overturned.
The reason is that nothing about it is clear and obvious.
The ref did not give it so move on and stop whining you cheating Scottish so and so.

His comments to the ref warrant retrospective punishment.
It also puts the referee in a bad light, him just ignoring the language and insults. It’s no wonder players feel that it’s fine to argue with referees, if this is the sort of thing that they can get away with.

The more I watch this, the more I'm convinced that Robertson is a ******* cheat. JBG controls the ball poorly, realises someone is running in on him and sticks his legs out to poke the ball away. Robertson makes no attempt to get ther ball and knows he can't get it so drags his right foot along the ground to make sure he gets contact with JBG's leg. IMO this is a blatant and very clever attempt to win a penalty, the most unbelievable thing for me is that he even convinced himself it was a penalty and had the cheek to confront the referee about it.

Well apart from 1) Gudmonsson was in front of Robertson at all times leading up to the "foul" 2) He got to the ball and played it before Robertson got there, 3) Robertson clattered into Johann's legs when Johann was grounded 4) Any infringement was outside the box. With those provisos it is a tad hard to see why a penalty should have been given. Finally 6) a decent pro would have jumped to avoid Johann's legs.
All that takes any admiration I have for Pool's success significantly watered down unless Robertson and Klopp have been on the phone to apologise to the ref and if that occurred I think we can assume hell will freeze over.
Oh and how Lineker, Wright and Murphy can say it was a definite penalty suggest they all need eye tests as there is no way it was in the box.
Even the BT commentators get it wrong. Gudmonsson did not catch Robertson, Robertson caught Johann
