Excellent report Tony as usual
Can we finish on a high with 2 wins in the remaining fixtures?

An excellent, honest account of the match and where we are.
Thanks, CT.

Very fair report. Thought we looked jaded which is hardly surprising

Top report Tony πŸ‘.
4 more points required to beat our 54 in 2018

You mentioned that it was the first penalty given to us this season. Did we not get one against Bournemouth? (Or have I misread or misunderstood your article - if so my apologies)

Bournemouth at home and Watford away but neither given by the referee - both given by VAR

I now understand. Thanks Tony.

Good job Mike Dean did give it, cos i don't think VAR would have overturned it, if he hadn't given it, could have gone either way, but we deserve that after the injustice at Molineux.

We'll certainly play better and lose, but it's a hallmark of this squad and SD that we keep going to the final whistle.

Woody showed his bottle slotting the pen away sublimely, minutes after missing that header from 3 yards out, shows the up's and down's of football in a microcosm.

It's good that a Burnley fan (Tony) can report fairly about the opposition whilst still giving a good report on his own team.

Tony, can you impress us all and give us the official time that both penalties awarded.

Although I always write from the Burnley angle, I've always tried to be fair.

All I can tell you about the penalty at Molineux is that the goal was recorded at 90+7 but we did have a long wait while VAR opted not to correct the decision.

At the Turf, I still have it recorded and have checked. You hear the whistle to give the pen at 93 mins, 16 seconds and Wood strikes the penalty at 95 minutes, 16 seconds.

Wow, thanks for that Tony. So they were not far away from the exact same time. Revenge is sweet but ours was more a penalty than there's and as has already been said if neither had been given we'd both be a point better off.

Ours is a clear hand ball and he’s no protecting himself either. Once seen was always going to be given.

one of them games where the opposition thought they deserved to win, but looking back they had very few decent chances and a cracker of a goal. 2 draws against wolves , I reckon at least 12 of the 20 prem teams would take it.
