You'd have thought it might have got a mention that we've held on to Tarks and Pope and McNeil. That's always a great outcome when the window has closed and the club's "most valuable players" are still with us.
I'm also interested, other than Jeff Hendrick, who was offered a new contract but chose to leave, did anyone think Sean Dyche wanted Joe Hart or Arron Lennon to stay beyond the end of last season?
Also, is there any positive in resolving the Ben Gibson situation?
Of course, it's possible CT had those thoughts in mind, but they were cut in the edit that was published.

Agree that most fans did not want Lennon and Hart. I always thought Lennon could do a job as wing back but guessing SD didn’t as we would have seen him there at some point given the problems we had in that position. As you say the ship had sailed on Gibson a long time ago.
But the frustration is more about the squad - even last year we were always a couple of injuries away from trouble if this happened to one of our centre backs or someone like Dwight who amazingly played in nearly every game.
This year those injuries have materialised and you combine that with the likes of Dwight starting the season poorly and we are down to the bare bones. Whenever you are in a position that you are having to start players who are playing badly / low on confidence and you have zero on the bench then you are in trouble and we are.
Of course we have been through these bad spells before and Dyche and the players have turned it round and they can do this again.
But for me it feels different this year - the players are that bit older...slower....more prone to injury. The other teams seem to have got stronger / spent lots of money and just looking at the likes of Leeds, Villa, Everton and even Brighton they look like they could run us into the ground with the pace and intensity (and quality) they have. At some point the organisation and fight can only take you so far - and to me it looks like we have reached that point.
All that said I wouldn’t want any other manager in charge of Burnley trying to prove everyone wrong.
