Drove through Liverpool last night must be tough for Everton fans at the minute with the amount of flags on show outside houses! Sure if we’d won a trophy this season everyone in Burnley would celebrate at home!?

Social distancing or something? There's a pandemic killed nearly 50,000 people but other than that it's a fair point.

You're still allowed to leave the house. There's been a lot of pathetic criticism of people who have dared to open their front door over the past few months.

If Burnley could win the World Cup in 2020 I'd still stay at home, mainly because I care about my fellow man.

Nothing wrong going to the pub/beach but there are pre-conditions. Liverpool don't do pre-conditions.

What are the pre-conditions that Liverpool don't do?

Some bitter people on here - and I can guarantee that if this was Burnley being awarded the title at home, a lot of people living in the area would be out celebrating.

Whilst sticking to the rules, no problem. But we all know from all areas that there are dickheads who will not follow the rules including in Burnley.

Scousers are also renowned for “bending” rules to suit themselves.

No doubt some people won't be sticking to the rules. Just like some people don't when I go to the supermarket, or the pub. That's life. And as far as I'm aware there's nothing that makes Liverpool fans more likely to 'bend' rules of any sort, unless you can expand?

There's been loads of overreactions on here over the past few months towards people who have the sheer gall to try and enjoy their lives. Stop being bitter.

Spent the day shopping in Liverpool and apparently was the busiest day since lockdown in the city centre. Lots of shirts on display..and the pubs filling up as we were leaving. I can't see social distancing being employed tonight somehow. It was also noticeable that about 90% of people were not wearing masks inside the shops. 2 days to go....

I’ll expand.

I worked with plenty of scousers and the vast majority of them had a chip on their shoulders, always a victim, yet happy to drop others in the sh!t if it benefited themselves and they did that often, including something that affected me personally and changed my whole life.

So yes, I’ll be as bitter as I want thanks (if that’s how you want to describe it, I’m just a realist about a group of people I don’t like) - and whilst I always have an open mind about people, I don’t mind admitting I am prejudiced against scousers based on personal experience.

Well it seems that you've got a chip on your shoulder. Let's hope that fans of other clubs don't think that this is representative of the entire population of Burnley.

What I witnessed last week was no care at all.for social distancing amongst people who are.complete strangers to.each other. We are in the grip of a pandemic. Then again, rumours.are it.will all be over by Christmas. I've read about something like that before.

I don't think the people being Liverpool fans contributed to their lack of social distancing. There would have been the same celebrations had Man City, Chelsea or Burnley won the league.

I don't mind admitting that I do have a chip on my shoulder about them, a few Liverpudlians decided my face didn't fit where I worked and conspired to get me dismissed - along with the consequences that losing the job entails, like broken marriage; lost access to my children for a long period - but the outcome is personal and I wont expand much further except to say that the only reason they ganged up and decided my face didn't fit - because they were fiddling works expenses and I was a whistle-blower. 2 were my subordinates; one was my line manager - they all stuck together because they were all on the fiddle together including my line manager.

Nothing nor anyone I have since met has done anything to change my opinion of them, but like I said I do still have an open mind and I am willing to be proven wrong.

In regards to Burnley folk, have no fear - I'm not a native.

Sounds like a rough turn of events and I'm not surprised you hold a grudge against the individuals involved. I don't think it's fair to tar a whole city with the same brush though.

But Man City, Chelsea nor Burnley were guilty of that offence last week. Liverpool fans were guilty of ignoring social distancing. If that is unimportant to you then there's no problem and I've wasted a good four months of my life trying to do the right thing.

Some fans of all football teams are guilty of ignoring social distancing, that's my point. It just so happens that Liverpool have won the Premier League. Had it been Burnley, some of our fans would also be celebrating whilst ignoring social distancing.

We can go to the pub, the supermarket, we can travel on a crowded train or plane. Whilst I wouldn't choose to partake myself I'm not going to get upset about a few thousand football fans - a number of whom who will be social distancing - celebrating outdoors.
