For me, it has to be Reading away in the play-offs

Watched it in the Red Lion in Withington. When i saw the tiles on the floor of the entrance were claret and blue, i just knew.

Then 10 minutes after FT i got a call that we'd had a major system failure at work and could i come in at 12pm rather than 8am lmao

So i got more ale in

That game when we did Preston, Big Chris scored a hat trick and the fat bird was crying and ripping up her match day programme.

Reading was my mrs 21st. So missed it. As we were all out for a meal. Was her actual birthday. Listened to the entire match at the meal. Was surprisingly brilliant.

She times her birthday well. Missed Charlton too as we were in Cuba. But zero WiFi or tv coverage.

Norwich 1 - Burnley 4; I was in Amsterdam for my 30th.

Second leg of the Sherpa Van Trophy Northern Final, courtesy of Radio Lancs. I was 11 and vividly remember leaping about the living room.

Everton (Away) 2017. We were watching in a Bar in Lanzerote. When Hendrick delivered the "Coup de grâce" we screamed with delight. The Spanish locals were a little non-plussed but, what do they know about football? ;)

When we played Chelsea a few years ago on the first match of the season we were away on holiday on the south coast near Bournemouth. Bad bit of planning that by the wife. Anyway I went along on my tod to the pub to watch because we had young kids so her indoors stayed with them. Fully expected to sit on my own, watch the match and come back.

Anyway, an old fella sat next to me and we got talking and it turned out he went to school with Willie Irvine. He wasn't a Burnley fan but said he always kept tabs on us because he remembered Willie from school. Told me a few old tales and introduced me to some other folk in the pub and I had a great night, even though we lost. That's what's great about football. Brings people together.

That is a brilliant snapshot of a true supporter egging his team on :D Pacing around, fidgeting, exerting unknown amounts of energy. I can relate to that.

Good Friday wasn't it? I watched it in a pub in Thirsk as we were up that way for the weekend.

Watford v Burnley November 2000. Drove down to London Friday night ended up in Bar Rumba. Went to the pub in Watford before the game, it was full of Burnley fans. Game abandoned just before kick off so we went back to the pub. Drove back to Burnley, got back about 10ish and went straight out. What a weekend. I was younger then!

Spurs 1 v 4 Burnley

The club re-ran the full match on video cassette a week later at the Centre Spot. I went down with my dad to watch it

Few others. Luton away. Was on my 21st. Akinbiyi hatrick. We watched sky sports news in Blackpool and couldn’t believe what was happening. Cracking day.

Spurs in cup. The away leg I watched in a restaurant in grab Canaria surrounded by confused Germans when I kept up and celebrated our opener.

Spurs second leg missed that and arsenal in cup. Watched both at home with my dad. Was brilliant to watch. And sensed we were on our way back.

I was in NYC when George Boyd struck that volley against Man City. Great little bar tucked away somewhere on the upper west side. Bit nippy out so had my claret and blue scarf on afterwards and a local shouted come on Burnley . Had a few passport control people say they like our team in the past few years. Ended up in bed by 4pm after a few and woke up 2am, bright awake. So strolled about on my tod for a couple of hours.

Sat in a pub in High Wycombe surrounded by Reading fans for the 2nd play off leg. I was wearing my Clarets shirt. They were making comments so I flipped them off. Bunch of them threatened to 'get me' when I got outside. I just laughed. Was a very satisfying and humorous evening. I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Said hoodlums just melted away into the night. Bit like their team, they didn't fulfil their objective

By an absolute country mile, the days leading up to Olympiakos Europa game, the plane journeys, the feeling being abroad seeing more and more fans joining you in the city bars, the excitement and chatting to Burnley fans from all over the UK/abroad.
The atmosphere just grew, and grew.

Any game watched in a pub when Burnley have won is my favourite :)

It is somehow even more satisfying watching a win in a bar on holiday somewhere sunny with a load of neutrals or better still an opposition fan or 2 :-)

Won't be enjoying that experience again for a while though sadly :-(

Chelsea away in Krakow was good fun last year (i think)

There was this 50ish year old "I'm Rangers so i'll also support Chelsea" bellend who got redder in the face with every goal we dared to score.

The Lech went down very well that evening haha

I've got a few...

Beating Liverpool 2-0 3(?) years ago when Gray and Vokes bagged. I was interrailing at the time and managed to find a bar showing the game thanks to ZizkovClaret. Ended up getting a post match guided tour of the city too which was a grand end to a fine day!

Chelsea in the League Cup - listening to it on the radio with my dad and brother. Was a very special moment when we equalised. Obviously nothing like being there though.

Beating Barstewards finally - I was in Edinburgh and watched it jn a quaint pub where they had a crappy Scottish Cup game on simultaneously. I nearly got thrown out when Rhodes scored for swearing (imagine! In Scotland!) and after the game we went to an Irish bar and I got them to play wild rover a few hundred times.

I can only think of the last 12 minutes at Hull in 2011/12. Due to illness I was unable to make the trip and had to make do with audio commentary. We were 2-0 down after 78 minutes and apparently very fortunate to be only two goals behind, so inept had we been. We were dropping into the bottom three of the Championship and then Hull decided to take off the two chief tormentors, two players in turn who then went on to wear our shirt.

Cameron Stewart was the first to go. He'd murdered us. Within three minutes of him going off we were level with two David Edgar goals, I know hard to believe. Hull boss Nicky Barmby then inexplicably took off Robbie Brady and we won it with Jay Rod scoring in stoppage time.

The lads I travel to away game with do occasionally mention this game as if it were a national disaster to miss out. I always point out that they had opted not to go to the same ground on the day we got our first ever away win in the Premier League.

Generally a dreadful afternoon but that last few minutes did make me feel a bit better even though I still wasn't well enough to go to West Ham a week later.

Danny's winner at Ewood, i never thought i'd see us beating them again as the years rolled by, but that goal ended our hoodoo, and now it's over a decade since they held the bragging rights.

I was aged only 2 when we last won at Ewood prior to 2014, so unsurprisingly i don't remember that time.

United 2009- listened on the wireless, and once Jensen saved the pen, you knew it was going to be one of those nights.

PNE 88- amazing commentary on Radio Lancs, and it was incredible that we were heading to Wembley just months after the Orient game pitch invasion wasn't bad either.

Lastly Cardiff, Derby (FA Cup) & York all 92, that was the year when we started the long road back.

I think generally he was utter bobbins. He was quick but not very good. Although I’d have probably backed him to play well ahead of Edgar scoring two goals.

I have TBH i don't even remember his loan spell, but apparently he played 9 games in the EH era, he never played under SD though, so that probably tells you a lot. And he's just been released by Lincoln City at the age of 29, so he's hardly set the game alight since his brief spell with us.
