Keep getting told I can't post as my IP has been blacklisted.

Why is this and how can it be sorted without me having to keep turning my WiFi off?

I don't know who or what they are. Who or what they represent. Just know that it is a pain in the jaxy.
I'd love to find out who invited them to blacklist me, or for what reason, but I doubt I ever will. I thought it was a scam at first, but nobody asked for any money.

DiB put up a link to be de-blacklisted but I can’t find it. I’m sure he’ll be along soon with a solution.

It’s blocked IP and no one has blacklisted you. The explanation and solution is as per the post from DiBraidio that’s been linked.

I wasn't suggesting I'd been blacklisted by admin, but that's the message I received when trying to post from my mobile. It sorted itself out in the end, so its just the inconvenience.

I was replying to your post suggesting that you had been blacklisted when it was your IP. There would also have been instructions to remove it.

Won't let me apply for removal as I have a Gmail address. Guess I'll have to just keep turning off my WiFi and using data for now.

Been having the same problem mate. Currently posting from Starbucks drinking a mocha.

Spamhaus appears to have a very broad brush approach to blacklisting. I'm currently blocked on my mobile, blocking a mobile's IP address is going to get a lot of false positives.

Had this myself the other day. Just read this thread, and dibradio's answer, but have not yet gone to spamhaus link.

If you can read this then my mobile's IP has been cleared in a few days with me doing nothing.

I had this come up when trying to post a reply to the best ever individual performance thread last night. Only seem to affect my laptop.
I gave up trying to post that reply incidentally.

Looks like the unblocking doesn't work either.

My mobile phone IP is blocked - gone to the links, added email address, confirmed link when email arrives... nothing.

So even confirmation that the IP has been removed from the blacklist doesn't work.

There's always the option of using a VPN (ideally not a "free" one).

Not sure what advice to give for the best here. On one hand I could tell you to stop watching dodgy porn so your IP stops getting blocked or on the other I could advise you to just get back on the dodgy porn sites and sack off messaging on here

My experience and some others on here, just leave it to clear by itself. A few days at most.

Hi I had this problem, I have sky and tried a reset of the router so as to get another IP address got new IP but still had the old one stopping me.Even when I accessed on Iphone had the same problem but when i left the house all ok on 4g on iphone so new it was the internet router spoke to sky sent me new router and everything is now ok.

I get blocked using my phones internet but when switching to the house wifi it's fine.

Mine's been a few weeks as well.

I get the same issue whilst posting from my phone via works wifi, but not from works PC

Had this just now when using 4G
