An Italian newspaper has reported that Burnley’s All Whites striker Chris Wood has been offered to Serie A club Lazio. A report in Italy’s sports daily, Corriere dello Sport, claimed Wood’s representatives had told Lazio the 28-year-old forward is interested in a move to the Rome-based club.

Not sure how to feel about that, actually. He still has plenty of miles left on him and he is tailor made for the way we play. I suppose if the offer is substantial enough the club could do other things. Otherwise, if Lazio is looking to get him on the cheap they can keep moving.

Lazio don't want to pay the 30 million that Bournemouth are asking for King (allegedly) then sure as **** they wont want to pay the 30 million and 18 boxes of Twix that will will ask for

Bit of a nothing story really. Even if true it’s just his agent touting him around, which is what agents do to make their money. No suggestion that Lazio are in the least bit interested, even if they can afford him.

Did no one else watch the awards last? Wood said he loved the competition with Vyds, Jay and Barnes, was proud to be the club’s top scorer for three seasons on the bounce end he was looking forward to getting back for the new season.

Good news. I would have been worried if he said he was going to visit his mum in NZ though and Sandy Stewart took the awards for him!
