Dyche could be trying to prove to Garlick what £2-3million gets you in this league. Just a thought but have we been tested before this match ? The team look like they are all playing with Covid 19z

Re: Match thread v Magpies
what should we expect when Barnes and Wood is in. We just instinctively pump it up and play second ball football. Appalling.
Feel sorry for Stephens, has he played in a central 2 in his years at Brighton? Doesn't look the type to play a 2 and has no options when he has the ball.
Shite defending for the goal from Taylor & Tarks, why isn't one of them closing the lad down instead of letting him run almost to the edge of our box?

Start as we mean to go on.. two passes, bang it long over Wood's head for the keeper to easily collect....ut oh...

Is that stat correct?
Burnley have never won a Premier League away game when losing at HT (D7 L43).

Re: Match thread v Magpies
Very poor from us.
Some people on here might not like our tactics, but Steve Bruce is obviously a fan.
Newcastle seem to be getting to grips with our framework, after adopting it. Hendrick cutting in to help midfield, St Maxim causing problems down the other wing ( ala McNeil ) their defenders throwing themselves about ( Lascelles is a big loss for them ) and their attackers harrying us and causing problems ( but using pace to do it ).
I think Hendrick took pity on us with that miss. Him and Westwood in central midfield would be more effective than Stephens and Westwood. We are missing the defensive contribution of Cork and his metronome impact. The quicker Mee comes back the better.

As bad as I have seen them, Sean has to carry the can for that, Garlick for all his faults doesn't select the team or tactics.

If you don't like what you're watching, go and have a cold shower. You might feel better.
Me, I'm right behind the lads out there.

Great sentiment, sorry, but support from a computer keyboard is very unlikely to provide the necessary inspiration.SussexDon1inIreland wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 9:11 pmWe’re having a bad run and we need to get behind the lads

Far better, offered more so far in 10 minutes than entire first half.
