Bardsley 6* - pretty solid defensively and an assist
Long 4 - Exposed, constantly
Tarkowski 5 - Part of a backline that struggled all night
Taylor 4 - weak defensively, offered nothing going forward. Is he carrying a knock?

Brownhill - 4 - anonymous
Westwood 6 - including one for the goal
Stephens 5 - Crab like, but won the ball a bit
McNeill 5 - Some bursts, no overlaps and very little in the way of options meant that his potency was reduced

McNeil 5 - Got on ball more when he came central 2nd half , but the disappeared again.

Barnes 3 - Awful. Crap service into him, but he has to offer more.

Pope 3 - looked terrified all night. First touch worse than mine. Had he been told he would start vs Wales?
Bardsley 6 - did his best to rough up St Maxim (sp) and stuck at it. Expert at realising when some timely thuggery cam benefit us.
Tarkowski 5 - looked like his mind has been elsewhere recently, but at least he isn’t on strike
Long 3 - useless, totally useless. Not Long, even though he was partly at fault for the first 2 goals (fouled but weak for the first). Dyche. Putting a League 1 defender in at this level for so many games......shameful. Can’t blame the chairman for lack of backup.
Taylor 5 - exposed at the back and poor delivery
Stephens 6 - tried to keep us ticking over and got stuck in
Westwood 6 - good goal and key to raising the tempo for 20 mins
Brownhill 4 - fairly anonymous
McNeil 4 - never got into dangerous positions
Barnes 7 - won fouls that only he can win, created some chaos and nearly scored
Wood 5 - nothing really happened for him

Gudmundson 5 - quiet

What was worrying today was the number of minutes in the game when we looked like we wanted the game to just come to us instead of taking it by the scruff of the neck. Only 20 minutes of good tempo from minute 46.

Feel a bit sorry for the players. We are in the midst of a global pandemic. Most players probably live in an area with local restrictions. At work they have a weird testing regime. Worrying about if their teammates carry it, pass it onto them, and they can then infect older relatives etc. It’s a stressful time. So not getting reinforcements, knowing the manager and chairman are at odds, impending takeover uncertainty, no fans - so tough for our players. They have my sympathy. Especially Long. Not his fault he’s out of his depth, what I would say about him is he never gives up.
