We are saving £1,299.86

I've just received an email from some digital marketing company based in Newcastle asking if I wish to use their data which they say our readers will find very interesting. It basically tells me that our fans will be saving £1.299.86 this season by not being able to go to games.
You would have thought they might have found another 14 pence from somewhere to round it up.

Is that home games only?
£68.41 per game seems a lot for STH

Presume that's total spend: travel, beer, food etc. Some folk probably spend a small fortune every game.

I've definitely saved more than that if I'd taken up a season ticket again.

Some people will spend a fortune with a full day/night on the beer, betting etc, whereas there'll be others who simply attend the game and go home. As an average I'd still say 68 quid a game is a bit high though.

I almost spent that on my trip to London for the Spurs game, was a very silly boy that weekend!

I had a messy do too that day, that included not going home with Accy Clarets, ended with a train in the homeward direction deep into the morning, the game was a disaster, i do remember catching an Anthony Joshua fight in a pub I could never find again.
I drunk so much and it was all random poison.

That must just be home games £60 average spend
I reckon the away day average spend is at least £100

£70 isn’t that high tbh. I don’t spend that but people would easily spend far more.
£20/30 Ticket
£20/50 Beer/Food
£5/10/20 Bet
£5/10/20 Travel (Bus/Train/Taxi)
Programme £4/5
I know a few would just have the ticket for less than £20 but some would spend the higher figures I put or even more.

Was the 2nd Joshua fight with Ruiz I think. We got back to Manchester just before it started and couldn't get in anywhere so ended up standing in the rain trying to watch it through a pub window. Was still better than the game earlier like

On a average home game I spend
— 20 quid petrol
- 5 quid beer if I’m driving il only have 1
- 5 quid food
If I’m not driving and getting the train it’s about 20 quid return for the train ticket and about 60 quid for beer and food

Where you going in Burnley that charges £5 for a beer and the same for meal?

Have they factored in how much we now spend on Amazon and just eat?
