Now that the injuries are easing we should be lining up much stronger tomorrow.
Pope
Bards/Lowton (depending on Bards fitness test) Tarks Mee Taylor
Brady? Brownhill Westwood McNeil
Jay Wood
We could even go 5 in the middle and play Benson, but I doubt Sean will do that in a home game, and if JBG is doubtful there's no point risking him.

Stephens is out injured anyway, and I have my doubts over Brady as well, which explains the

the problem is if not Brady, then who plays on the right

Thought dyche said JBG was closer than Brady. Beardsley still out I’d think.
I’ll go
Pope
Lowton Tarks mee Taylor
JBG/Brady Brownhill Westwood Mcniel
Wood Jay
If JBG and Brady are both out I’d rather benson slots in to the middle and brownhill goes right but dyche may prefer to play barnes and move one of barnes/jay wide?

Both Everton's first choice full backs are out. Our best chance is using the wings.
We need a strong right back performance tomorrow with Richarlison coming in off the left. The fake Rodriguez loves his cross field balls to that side as well, he won't try and go past Taylor.

Everton have seemed to struggle v pace and quick short passing, hopefully we will press and get at them
They seem to handle aerial threats pretty well, so we need some fresh ideas or deadball line wing play rather than deep crosses
Hopefully its wet and windy and Pickford has a bit of a poor gsme

I didn't know both their regular full backs were out, that should give us a boost as that's been a big factor in their success this season.

In that case we need McNeil to play as an orthodox left winger.
I'd even play JBG if he's anything like fit. So:
Pope,
Bardsley (if fit), Tarkoski, Mee, Taylor,
JBG (if fit) Brownhill, Westwood, McNeil,
Wood, Rodriguez.

Have we ever had much pace during our time in the Prem?

Exactly. We don't have any.
Apparently Vydra is our fastest player by some distance.

Gray's the only one that springs to mind. Maybe Ings at a push, It's never been a big part of our game.

None unless you count Andre Gray. It was there in abundace in our promotion year, but he faced a real step up in quality of defenders in the PL. I cannot think of any-I am still not sure how quick Vydra is

Like the look of that Moorite.
McNeil given a more free role to get
down the wings or pick it up centrally and run at them.
Don't think there's much chance as Dyche
will stick to 4-4-2 no doubt.

Should he bring Pope straight back after BFP had such a solid game at City and was not at fault for any of their goals? For me its a yes but its a tough call

It’s really not a tough call though is it bringing back a keeper who nearly won the golden glove last season and kept a clean sheet in 2 of his last 3 appearances.

I’ve thought for a while that we have the players best suited to a 3-4-3 formation.
Pope
Tarks - Long/Dunne - Mee
Westwood - Brownhill

It was interesting that both Pope and Taylor when asked the question about pace on that interview the other week immediately said Vydra with absolutely no hesitation. He clearly stands out as being very fast in our squad.

About as strong a line up as we could have hoped for considering the circumstances.
I still hope Vydra gets more than a 2 minute cameo, though.

Hopefully he’ll have an impact. He really is in the last, last chance saloon and it’s fairly incredulous the amount of opportunities he seems to get whilst others get ignored.
If it isn’t working then I hope he gets hooked at half time and replaced by Vydra with a switch in formation.

Oh, and before people say I'm negative about Brady, it has to be said that a lot more posters seem to think the same as me about him now.

Keane captains them from a back 3

I know Bardo is obviously still injured because there would be no doubt he would have started today. Saying that Pieters should be at right back even playing completely out of position as he is a 100% improvement on Lowton. That lad should never wear a pair of boots for Burnley again.

As Sean said in the pre match interview, they are being careful with him. I guess he's just being given a rest. There was no suggestion he was injured in any way. Putting Brady in his place though is likely to be a disaster. He spends the entire game losing the ball to the opposition, through trying stuff he's not capable of. I'd rather start with ten men, than play him.
