Much better today from the lads, could have nicked it but all in all a fair result.

Pope: 8 MOM- great saves in both halves, important one at the end, could he have come for their first goal?
Mee: 7 solid, got pipped at the first post for their goal, but see under Pope?
Taylor: 6
Lowton: 6
Tarlowski: 7
Westwood: 7
Brownhill: 7
Brady: 7
Wood: 6 lots of effort but should have rounded Pickford in the first half
Jayrod: 7

Benson not on long enough but looked good.

Quite an entertaining game I thought. Both sides looked like they could win it.
We really need to improve our crossing from open play. Poor in that area again but on the whole it was a decent performance.

Brady was anonymous second half if he had carried on his first half performance i think we might have won that

Pope 8 again 2 great saves
Lowton 8 2 great crosses, a couple of good runs and kept Richarlson very quiet MON
Tarky 7 a few whooshes but solid enough
Mee 7 solid enough
Taylor 6 lost possession in silly areas a couple of times
Brady 7 great goal, some good play, hit the first man all to often
Brownhill 7 caught a couple of times
Westwood 5 sorry pal but your error has cost us 2 points in the end
McNeil- 5 so negative in his play, rarely beat the first man with crosses, then woeful shot at the end
Wood 6 2 guilt edge chanves he should score at least 1 of them
Jay 6 quiet

A game that could have really been won by either side, we created more today than in previous weeks.
Keepers played their part.
Has given me a bit more confidence going forward that we can pick up some points between now and Sheff Utd

Pope - 9 , would have been 10 but for distribution.
Lowton - 8 , best performance for some time
Tarks - 7 passing again not good enough
Mee - 8
Taylor - 6 - sloppy at times didn’t look his normal self.
Brady - 8 , great goal, looked a different player, offered a threat, used the ball wall and worked hard.
Brownhill - 8 , bailed Westwood out many times.
Westwood - 5 way off it and his fault for going down like a pansy for the goal.
McNeil - 6 looks deject of confidence, needs competiton for his place.
Jay - 6 worked hard, few decent touches
Wood - 4 didn’t looks like a footballer at times today, missed the 1-1 which would probably have won us the game

Pope 9*
Lowton 7
Tarks 8
Mee 8
Taylor 7
Westwood 7
Brownhill 8
McNeil 6
Brady 8 (I'm not normally a fan, but will give credit where it's due and he had the best game I've seen from him. If his crosses were better he'd have got 9)
Jayrod 6 (I felt he was poor by his standards today)
Wood 7

Barnes 6

A good performance, a fair result and a good game for neutrals to watch I'd suggest, but we are normally so good at nicking those games other teams don't really deserve to lose and we didn't. I WANT to feel positive and say it's a good point, but in our position we really needed all 3, so I'm a bit deflated.

Pope 8 some great saves

Lowton 9 superb game. His aggressive start set the tone for the game. Mom performance. I was worried about him facing Richarlison beforehand but did great.
Mee 7 decent performance but slow chasing back for the goal.
Tarkowski 8
Taylor 7

Brady 8
Westwood 7
Brownhill 8
MacNeil 7 put one on a plate for Wood and did play of the match turning two Everton players inside out.

Wood 7
Rodriguez 7

Best performance of the season.

Pope 8 Ultimately got us the point.
Lowton 7 Looking better.
Tarkowski 7
Mee 8 MOM The whole team looks so much better with him around.
Taylor 6 Seems to have lost a yard of pace.
Brady 7 Much better. A bit of confidence from him. If he gets game time he will be like a new player.
Westwood 6 Gave the ball away too easily.
Brownhill 7 Lots of energy and improving all the time.
McNeil 7 Oh dear what an awful attempt at the end
Wood 6
Rodriguez 5 See Westwood.

Pope 9 made 3 very good saves, the one with his feet was particularly good
Lawton 7 got caught out a couple of times in first half, trying to intercept passes much better 2nd half
Mee. 8 might have done better with their goal
Tarks. 8 solid game
Taylor. 8. Stopped a number of crosses coming in, did well against the pace of Ewobi
Brady. 9 great goal, and always looking for the killer ball, put in a good shift. No wonder he had cramp
Brownhill 8 his usual industrious self
Westwood 8 did well against a athletic Everton midfield, particularly Doucoure (probably spelt wrong)
McNeil. 7 struggled to get into game 1st half, better 2nd half. Could have been the hero late on, but fluffed his lines
J Rod. 7 put in the hard yards, but nothing came off for him
Wood. 8. Could have had a couple of goals, but for 2 good saves from Pickford!

Our best performance of the season by a mile, at times we played some really good stuff

Pope - 8 Showed again today why he is vying to be number 1. Great save at the end.
Lowton - 5 Sadly that’s his best performance IMO for a while but still way off the required level. Bardsley must start next week
Tarky - 7 Looked to have his game head back on today. Let’s hope he keeps this level up until the inevitable happens
Mee - 7 Standard Ben performance. No nonsense and plays to his strengths
Taylor - 6 Better than last week but still not up to his usual levels but I think that also coincides with McNeil’s dip in form
Brady - 7 Fingers crossed this is the new dawn of the return of the real Robbie. Classy strike and put a real shift in
Westy - 6 A bit meh and very weak in the challenge that led to the equaliser. Never a foul
Brownhill - 7 Much livelier from Josh. Seemed to play a lot higher up today and became a lot more involved with the attacks
McNeil - 4 I know it’s low but I think that effort in the dying seconds pretty much sums up the way he is performing. There was that 1 occasion where he did fantastic to get between 2 EFC players and his delivery was woeful. Needs a spell on the sidelines
J Rod - 6 Not his best showing. Movement was good but lacked the cutting edge
Wood - 5 For a large old unit he gets pushed off the ball far too easily. Short of confidence

Barnes - 6 Made a bit of a nuisance of himself and made more impression in the 15/20 minutes he was on compared to the other 2 strikers

A draw was a fair result and hopefully we can start to build on these performances Man City aside

Pope 9* - Again we'd be leaving another game with less points without him
Lowton 7 - His distribution was wonderful at times. It's his decision making, puts him/ us in trouble. A mixed bag
Tarks - 7 Steady enough
Mee 7 - Steady enough
Taylor 6 - Wanted to see more going forwards from him today
Brady 7 - Good goal, did really well early doors but tired toward the end. God I hope that's not another injury. He's never going to be the same player he was two years ago, but if we can get glimpses from him (like today) that would be nice
Westwood 6 - Too soft for the goal, I just think he's going through the motions at times, we know his qualities so would like to see more
Brownhill 7 - Really good with the ball at his feet today, improving and the fact we got him for pennies makes it even better
McNeil 6 - Put two on a plate for Wood, but then when his big chance came his confidence just wasn't there, also I wanted him to get at Iwobi more
Jay Rod 6 - Quiet game, but makes things tick better than Barnes, got a great touch
Wood 6 - Missed two great chances, that's what he's there for as well he makes up for his shortcomings with goals and today he didn't deliver them. But deserves no less than Jay Rod because he's much more likely to score
Barnes 6 - Did well actually with what he had, wish he had more time
Benson - Not enough game to grade, but looked very promising, more please Sean.

Good performance overall, both teams had clear cut chances so a draw was probably the fair result. Considering the fact they had James Rod/ Richarlison/ Allan/ Doucoure, all big money deals, we matched them in every department.

I dont know why, he was a 4 1st half having been caught 4 times so far out of position because of really poor decision making he may as well have been stood in the car park. 2nd half much better (7) so an average of 6 was how I fairly marked him

Pope 9 - MOM
Lowton 6 - Caught out a few times in 1st half and was lucky Richarlison didn't take advantage. Much improved 2nd half.
Mee 8 - Solid. Maybe could've got goal side for their equaliser, but would be harsh to blame him.
Tarky 8 - Solid
Taylor 6 - OK. Final ball could've been better.
Brady 8 - Goal gave him a confidence boost and did well after that. Better in the air than given credit got. Faded a bit in 2nd half.
Westwood 6 - Never a foul for their goal, no need to go down. Struggled a bit when they went 3 in centre mid.
Brownhill 6 - Some nice stuff and got forward quite well. Again struggled a bit up against 3 in centre mid.
McNeil 6 - A better game. Final ball needs to be better, did a lot of the hard work before the cross or pass let him down. Although Wood should've scored from his pass in 1st half. Great chance at the end as well.
Wood 5 - Should've done better with the 2 great chances. Pretty ineffective today
Jay Rod 5 - Marshalled well by Mina and Keane. Couldn't really link up the play.

Barnes 6 - Created a couple of bits when he came on. Prefer him as an impact sub.

All in all it was a decent performance and one we should look to build on. Another day Wood scores to make it 2-0 and it is a totally different game.
