Funniest thing iv seen on tv this week was Nigella unable to pronounce microwave, its now called according to her a mee-kro-wavee, lol so funny, mind you she looks bloody fit and good looking, id love to be in her company just for one of her meals, and a dessert as well plz, she is 60, wow Beautiful woman.

Not bothered about the food and no good for me, as she exudes garlic.

Cookery shows in general are poor. Unless you have 17,000 different spices and ingredients in your cupboard that you'll only ever use once.

What do people actually eat when they don’t have any ingredients to make owt with?

The idea of a cookery show is to give people ideas on what they can do. You don’t just buy a certain ingredient and use it sorely for that dish. Nigel Slater for instance would use “leftover” trout for example. The “leftover” meaning something that you can easily and quickly make at home when you don’t have great cooking skills.

I remember watching Nigel Slater doing a show about what to do with left overs.

During one he dragged half an enormous salmon out of his fridge, must have been well over 10 pounds in weight.

James Martin is the only one worth watching with some decent tips on preparation included but he too needs to reign in the cheffy shite at times
Slater and Lawson are detestable watches.

I never watch Nigella so thought I’d check what sort of grub she cooks up. The episode in question she was making mashed potatoes with the following ingredients;

Potatoes
Kale
Spring onion
Milk
Butter

Who the hell has even heard of these ingredients, never mind knows where to buy them from?

Nigella Bites is not a cookery program (see George de la Tour's The Fortune Teller).

It's to sell a British lifestyle for the benefit of London property values to foreign investors.

It's not much of a conspiracy theory.

Anyway, I've given up watching because the last two times, my tea has gone up in smoke whilst watching her (her...mmmm)...

Much prefer Marco Pierre White. No messing about and straight to the point. Doesn't over complicate things and comes out with some great and useful tips. Top lad Marco. Wouldnt cross him though.

I stick to mainly chicken, fish, beef, lamb, mixed with vegetables or salad. Not sure what your problem is with that, but there clearly is a problem I'm missing? Please tell me what that is, so I know what I'm missing.

I don't see why something should involve so many different components to make a meal.

You can put something in the oven and cook veg in a pan. Why do you have to go around the houses on these shows? "Oh, and just throw the left overs of a pig's scrotum, with some oil from a tree in South Africa, and you're done.
