Westwood 8 - Works hard, defensive work fantastic, and ball retention is good. Just a solid premier league footballer and glad we have him.
McNeil 7 - Helped out Taylor plenty, some driving runs, but things just not happening for him at the moment.
Barnes 8 He has looked rusty, but he's been out an age, had disjointed come backs and no run of games. This will do him the world of good.
Wood 8 - The best burnley striker in the last 30 years.

A throughly deserved victory. After what seemed like an age creating very little we really could and should have had a few more tonight. I was very critical last week, especially for the strikers, hopefully those goals will now boost their confidence and get them both firing again.

Brady 7 decent some quality. We’re so much better with a threat on both sides. Barnes volley would have been one hell of a goal.

Westwood 6 a bit quiet didn’t get involved quite so much.
McNeil 7 some very good balls in but he looked tired after 60 minutes.
Wood 8 very good hold up play today and some very neat footwork. Unlucky not to score another.
Barnes 7 good should have got another one but much better more like himself. Still needs to play football more as there was one in the first half where he went down for the freekick despite us having a 3 on 3.

Excellent display, could have had 3 or 4 goals, and very unlucky not to keep a clean sheet.

I wanted 6 points from the next 4 fixtures including tonight to get ahead of the point per game curve, and that's a great start and a massive boost.

Its made Christmas a cheery one now.

Really unnecessary penalty to give away meaning unnecessary pressure but Benson will learn from it. Didnt look great to start with but once in our stride never in too much trouble. Thought the whole team played out the game well post penalty.

An excellent, typical Burnley in the PL performance, only marred by the young lad's daft challenge near the end which caused a few unnecessary last minute wobbles. Wolves looked more than decent and moved the ball well, but we defended brilliantly, made chances of our own for a change and showed them how to find the back of the net whilst restricting them to basically nothing of note which shows how far we've come in a few short weeks. It's still going to be a long, hard season, but we have to be optimistic after that display! UTC!!
