Has all this putting pictures of people with names sounding like the deceased got a bit tedious and disrespectful, someone has died !

"Humour?"

I'll raise you "predictable" and "disrespectful"....

Look forward to sending a screen shot of threads featuring photos of celebrities whose names sound similar to their loved ones when the usual suspects pass.

What fun!

Not.

"Black Humour" not everyones cup of tea. Or any "Humour" as you put it...is obviously very subjective these days. Strange World.

You pass.

People post with sincerity.

Then someone posts a picture of the lead singer of Herman's Hermits. Your family sees the "humour"?...

Aye it's not like it used to be, looking in the Nelson Leader at the obituaries to see who's died this week.

Always thought that there should be a separate death board on here, as it seems to be a pastime for some.

You're a troublemaker Steve.

You will join your namesake McQueen in the cooler.

Shine on, he's dead as well, it's a bloody minefield this famous people death talk.

I have to confess that I've never done it. But yes it's usually done by older ladies.

My Grandma used to do it.

So and so is dead you know, well thanks for that Gran, but I didn't really know him/her. Let's have a cup of tea.

Met Jim McLean once 1984 I think. I was delivering in Dundee and I always called at grounds to buy some programmes. I walked into Tannadice and strangely couldn’t find anyone. Walking around knocking on doors and opening them. Finally found someone. It was Jim McLean in his office. I was wearing my V Burnley shirt, asked me if he could help. He called someone who brought me a dozen programmes. In a cabinet in his office was the championship trophy. He actually handed it to me! Then gave me a scarf. Looked out for their results ever since. RIP.

Prior to the Aberdeen match, my eldest and I stopped overnight in Dundee. The Travellodge was quite close to both grounds. Dundee let us have a look at the inside of the stadium, which was nice. Dundee United went even further...we popped into the museum, which is in one corner of the ground. They asked us to wait a while, and a lovely chap then showed just the two of us round, having just finished a tour. We got to go down the tunnel, go into the board room, the changing room, and everything. They were clearely very proud, and rightly so, of the European Cup runs. Took us all ages to think of players that had represented both clubs...needed another fella to help us out! LOL

RIP, Jim.
