Fulhams game with Tottenham tomorrow is in doubt due to Fulham having Covid in the camp. Potential issue with our game too i would have thought?

Yes - Would it be a bad thing with our injury list?

Hard to say as we’re also in good defensive form and might have different injuries whenever it’s rescheduled. I’d rather play it.
If I were them, I probably would too, given we’ll likely strengthen in January.

Hate having games in hand and playing catch up so I want it to be played.

I want it replayed with a stronger squad. If we were playing one of the big hitters, I would want it played to get it out of the way. We are playing a bottom 3 club though where 3 points is vital

I wouldn't mind a Spurs win tonight and then our game being put back.

Wouldn't be a bad thing if it was off . More time to get players fit , plus hopefully new recruitments .

You'd have thought that if it was going to be called off they would have said something by now. They know which players are infected.

Certainly not the end of the world for us, but already being a game behind creates a fixture build up. Particularly if there’s an unplanned break at some point.
If Dwight is back, we don’t look that far off full strength so I’d rather it we’re played.

The problem is new cases in the club which had not been detected and new cases now being identified where players have been in contact with those prior to them returning a positive result.

Premier league not discussing circuit break. No club has asked for one, won't be discussed till late next month.
If Fulham don't have more positive tests than Sheff utd, then it should go ahead.

The most sensible thing to do would be to scrap the Euros to allow European leagues to stop until the vaccine can be administered across the board, and then hopefully pick up again early summer.

International breaks largely filled with tarted up friendlies need to go as well

I don't disagree, obviously the play-offs for the Euro's had to be played, but did there really need to be NL games and friendlies condensed into an already packed calendar, also all European comps should have been straight 1 game ko's, as happened last season in the latter stages of both European competitions, this would have freed up space to play a few more PL games, and if a circuit-breaker is required later in the season, then the fixture backlog would have been nowhere near as heavy as it potentially might be in the event of football hitting the pause button.
All the talk I've seen is for a 2 week circuit break, I honestly don't see how that would help much, indeed if anything this could increaser the problems later in the season, a 2 week stoppage would still mean football resuming in mid to late January, when cv will still be a potential issue, and there's also the chance of severe weather hitting, if it' wasn't for the Euro's then clubs could simply extend the season by a week or two to complete their domestic fixtures, but that isn't really a viable option this year.

Trouble with putting games back is eventually you have to play 3 games a week to catch up.

But the Nations League provides a route for European Championship qualification. So surely those games had to be played.

Because of Fulham’s covid in squad. No news yet on Sundays match.
Gives us a chance to get a few back for West Ham, if it is cancelled.

Shame, as I wanted Spurs to win, but it is what it is.
Don't players have to self-isolate for 10 days? When were they tested postive?

It’s only a matter of time it’ll all be suspended/postponed, some sort of break will be needed across all the leagues.

Maybe. But a lot more areas are going into Tier 4 from midnight (including Burnley), so the numbers will hopefully start dropping again.

That sounds hopeful, we will see no doubt, I’m actually doubtful if the tier differences make any substantial positive effects, the only thing I think that will make a difference is the whole population to be inoculated, with the changes on the MB I don’t wish to stray any further on the subject so this will be my closing comment.

Be good for us not to play Sunday. Sitting nicely outside the relegation zone and Cork Bards and JGB not far from full fitness. McNeil would benefit from a couple of weeks off and Taylor will not miss as many games.

Do they maybe your right there's so many tournaments now that I often lose track, I thought these NL games where part of the next qualification phase for the 2024 Euros so surely they could have been rearranged for a later date.
The playoffs were a carry over from the 2020 Euro qualifiers so yes they had to played, but common-sense should have prevailed and friendlies scaled back they weren't essential games, especially in light of many club managers bemoaning the hectic schedule.

You might be right. Although I sometimes think us 'die-hard' club fans think that domestic football is more important than international football - I don't think that this view will be universal.

Makes the results seem a bit pointless doesn’t it, similar to last season after the restart. Has a whiff of not being a proper season and therefore achievements don’t really count

How many cases of Covid19 does a club have to have in order to get a game called off?
If there is no set number, then surely the timing is always going to be called into question.

I do hope the game will go ahead as with the takeover the existing players will probably have a last chance to impress Dyche.
Lots of "ifs and buts'' but that is my take on things at the moment.

Man City probably have more clout in the Prem than say Sheff United.

Few suggesting Fulham have a good number of cases now. They’ll keep testing them but as long as they’re positive it’s not happening.

Sorry, but why is it their last chance to impress Dyche?
Are we having a fire sale or something?

Do you have a source? Not doubting you, just wondering. I do kinda want our game to be called off. McNeil aint making it and neither is Taylor. With JBG probably needing another game. And with Cork out, all 4 could be close for the game after.

I didn't say "last chance" I said "will probably have a last chance". Due to the takeover probably being imminent and Dyche having money to spend on some new players
Got it now.

Semantics. If Dyche doesn't know what his squad is capable of by now, then he's not the manager I thought he was!
Nobody is on a last chance, or even "probably" on a last chance.

It wouldn't be such a bad thing. I expect Taylor will miss the Man U game, but it should allow McNeil time to recover for the next game and possibly JBG too.
