Spurs 1-0 up - something rather unbecoming about professionals celebrating against amateurs I think

I suspect Marine might not cause an upset here, Spurs 3-0 up after half an hour.

I think you’re mixing him up with Paul Young. Neil Young doesn’t like southerners

Think Spurs have taken pity on Marine a bit this half. Could have easily got double figures if they wanted.

Possibly but they got the job done early, so they could coast in the 2nd half, that's the way to deal with these type of games, rattle a few in during the 1st 45, and then you can take it easy, and make a few subs if you wish.

It's always great to see a youngster coming through, and scoring on his debut will be huge for him, no matter the opposition.

They picked him up from Wigan, so this does show the talent is out there.

Brighton knackered and going to Man City on Weds (if it's on) is what I'm looking at, hopefully their GD will take a huge hit

i thought the bbc did a good job on the marine game. nice to see the neighbours cheering on the team from the back of the houses. and the commentators got the measure of it all pretty well. good fun.

Might put their concentration more on the cup than the league?

Maybe but I doubt it, what it won't do is increase their fragile confidence, to require penalties to squeeze past League 2 opposition can't help their morale.

More of those staggered run ups by the first 2 Brighton pens....I reckon it’s time they put a stop to the pauses before taking a penalty. The keeper has to stay on his line and yet the attacker can run up and pause etc.

It really is too much of an advantage to the penalty taker as it is without them effectively dummying the keeper in the run up. As for a prem side doing it in the first two pens of a shootout against a league 2 side you could argue it lacks class as well tbh. It was Brighton after all so probably what you would expect...

Wow! over 30,000 virtual tickets sold for the Marine tie, that'll keep them going during the non-league pause.
