Take your point, but take a look at the rest of the ground.

A nice ground is all well and good, but they're still plying their trade in the non-league.

I noticed they interviewed Steve B*llend...i mean Bellis before the game. Probably the most unprofessional football journalist ever with his many barbed, incendiary articles back in the day. Hardly surprising he is now their club president. The perfect fit for them.

Bellend (Bellis) was the main cause of a lot of the problems between the two clubs with his inflammatory comments. Now sitting as club president is an absolute nonsense.

I did a few articles for a Burnley fanzine and tried to get a meeting with Bellis prior to our Wembley play off game. This was after he posted an article in the Manchester Evening News that said that Stockport had only sold around 9,000 tickets because families were scared of the Burnley hooligans.
Before this he had an article published in the Stockport fanzine which implored fans that Crewe Alexandra should no longer be their 'rivals' and that Burnley should be their 'hate team'. This fuelled all sorts of issues at games between the clubs from then on.
Needless to say, Bellis did not respond.

I remember walking to the Turf one day when we were playing Stockport, one of their "lads" decided to stab someone in the back of the leg in Yates. I though to myself as they dragged the injured claret into an ambulance "I hope he's ok".................30 mins later he was standing at the top of the Longside next to me with a pair of ripped bloodied jeans on without a care in the world !!!! Bonkers
Also, we won

And we are light years ahead of them financially and in footballing terms...Let's hope the new regime build what is realistically in the grand scheme of things an uncomplicated structure with easy access for construction.

The atmosphere in a half empty stand with no roof on, pi**ing down with rain of a lower division side is better than most premier league grounds
