Good summaryBoss Hogg wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:52 pmSummary from Jordan and White show:
Used £30 million of own money
Borrowed £70 million from Dell
Borrowed rest from BFC
Classic American Leveraged Takeover
They’ve acquired a £200 million asset for £30 million
The real benefit is for Garlick and JB
Paid top dollar unlike Man Utd
Not like Major League Soccer where no relegation
The new owners have a wake up call coming
Fans right to look between the cracks
Relegation is real risk and debt serving could be £11 million a year
They could get it right but if relegation happens owners won’t be around for long
He didn't say that last bit about the owners disappearing if we get relegated, he said we'd the find out the cut of their gib.Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:52 pmSummary from Jordan and White show:

So basically, the ALK thread from yesterday but in radio format?Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:52 pmSummary from Jordan and White show:

Hard to argue with that.DCWat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:01 pmI’m amazed that we’ve heard nothing from Pace since his pre deadline interview.
Since then, there’s been an inactive deadline day, rumours of scrabbling to find funds, rumours of looking to purchase a club in Italy, and a growing number of media stories questioning the takeover.
For someone keen on communication, he’s gone very quiet all of a sudden.
maybe he is fed up of answering the same questions because they don't like the answers. I'd prefer action more than words and going off ALK's statement yesterday they feel the same.DCWat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:01 pmI’m amazed that we’ve heard nothing from Pace since his pre deadline interview.

I’ve said the same myself - Pace’s words mean little until we see actions. It’s early days so quite how long it might take until we do see something tangible is anyone’s guess.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:05 pmmaybe he is fed up of answering the same questions because they don't like the answers. Communication is a lot easier when all you're doing is blowing smoke up people's backsides and telling them exactly what they want to hear.DCWat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:01 pmI’m amazed that we’ve heard nothing from Pace since his pre deadline interview.

I didn’t know that and we have three in the house! I’ll use the correct term from now on, thanks. Jib was nautical slang for a face as well as the sail and is where the ‘cut of your job’ phrase comes from, apparently.
I've missed a statement from ALK and I can't find anything via Google, have you got a link please?gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:05 pmgoing off ALK's statement yesterday they feel the same.
Quite possibly, it is a bit like a Dyche press conference when he is accused of being a bit short with someone while ignoring it could the 20th time he has been asked the same question worded differently for the past hour or so.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 1:05 pmmaybe he is fed up of answering the same questions because they don't like the answers. To be clear, these were Jordans own, back of the fag packet numbers.Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:52 pmSummary from Jordan and White show:

Haha, you never jib at a jib.
Another one of GIADJ’s nights out again;)
Or if your a football lad the jib is when you go to away games and come home with more money than you went with.
When you say Dell do you mean Dell Loy Hansen who is also the owner of Real Salt Lake?Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:52 pmSummary from Jordan and White show:

Michael Dell of MSD Capital.dibraidio wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 4:05 pmWhen you say Dell do you mean Dell Loy Hansen who is also the owner of Real Salt Lake?
In November 2019 Forbes evaluated Real Salt Lake as being worth 235m dollars, you can imagine that they were amazed to be able to get a Premier League club for less than that. Apparently Hansen was looking to sell his shares in RSL last summer. The RSL website says that Dave Checketts was the man who convinced Hansen to invest in RSL in the first place. I'm sure this has all been covered in the many threads on the subject though.
The team that have come to Burnley will expect to be able to transform the club in the same way they did RSL. We would have to do exceptionally badly to find ourselves in the relegation zone now even 12 points from the last 18 games is likely to see us survive.

Sorry Fretters it wasn't a statement as such i meant an official spokeperson came out the otherday and reiterated ALK's loan being sustainable and that they won't be commenting as they believe their acitions will speak louder than any words.
Yes he has. He has responded. He hasn't delved intp detail for reasons that are unknown. Maybe the answer to the question would be to reveal his business plan to the world, and that doing so might jeapordise any plan coming to fruition. I am speculating but he has responded and although it might not be to everyones tastes as they have said, actions will speak louder than any words. I think we need to give them time. In the meantime our squad is in the best hands.
Wait????? But we are in the world of... “I need to know NOW”!!Rojales Claret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:32 amI recall at the time of the take over CT and perhaps someone else saying that we should all be pleased when ALK's plans were revealed in the next couple of months. Why not just wait for these announcements?

I think saying it stinks is a bit dramatic if i'm honest. We need to wait and see. Kicking off about things after a month and off the back of media speculation is just OTT.
Standard operating procedure on here thoughgandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:58 amI think saying it stinks is a bit dramatic if i'm honest. We need to wait and see. Kicking off about things after a month and off the back of media speculation is just OTT.

The future under the old ownership was only going to head in one direction. Dyche would have been off and we would have dropped like a stone. I would rather have this than the old owners.claret54 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 12:58 pmWe've all praised Garlick and JB over the years for their management of the club. But it seems that they have now sold their shares at a very high price. You could say good for them. But it's not good for the club. They haven't put the club first in their dealings with ALK. Consequently the future is more uncertain than it needed to be. Let's support the new owners we need them to be successful.
Strange. If someone borrowed your car and failed to return it would you wait a month before expressing any concern?gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:58 amI think saying it stinks is a bit dramatic if i'm honest. What a strange comment.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 1:36 pmStrange. If someone borrowed your car and failed to return it would you wait a month before expressing any concern?
I'd be very concerned if I'd said they could only borrow it for a day, but wouldn't be worried at all though if I went traveling Australia for a year and said they could use it whilst I was gone! What are you on about?boatshed bill wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 1:36 pmStrange. If someone borrowed your car and failed to return it would you wait a month before expressing any concern?
