Spurs-Chelsea
1-0 to the visitors, big mistake by Dier leading to a pen, which Jorginho expertly dispatched, Spurs have been woeful again, and if this continues Jose will be under pressure.

Whatever happens, it wont be his fault
Re: Spurs-Chelsea
It shows just how low Bale has sunk that Mourinho doesn't even start him when Kane's out. I do realise he's a winger but has played CF at Real and he could also have replaced Son on the flank as Son played down the middle when Kane was out last season.

Puts a bit of perspective on our game vs Chelsea, they have 68% possession tonight!

Re: Spurs-Chelsea
Tottenham are absolutely dreadful. Anyone would think it was a league 2 team defending for their lives against a Premier league side not 2 Premier league sides who are supposedly very closely matched
Re: Spurs-Chelsea
They might as well employ Big Sam for the same style of football, but at a fraction of the cost.

As for Chelsea....just shows the difference between a world class manager and Frank Lampard. The talent in that squad needed organising basically and the new guy has done it immediately.

Not necessarily..not just tonight, against us as well, you can see the difference immediately. I’ll make a bold prediction that Chelsea will finish top 4 and possibly even 2nd this season.

Re: Spurs-Chelsea
3 games, 3 clean sheets, 7 points, I don't think Chelsea would have garnered 7 points out of those games with Frank at the helm, and I certainly don't think they'd have kept 3 clean sheets. Under Lampard they only kept 7 in 19 PL games, and 2 pf those were against us.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:34 pmAs for Chelsea....just shows the difference between a world class manager and Frank Lampard. Werner still can't hit the proverbial barn door however, 13 PL games without a goal I believe for him now, and people criticise our forwards, mind you he did only cost £70m or so, I suppose you can't expect miracles.

Re: Spurs-Chelsea
Exactly. You can get 100/1 each way 2 places for Chelsea. 25/1 for them finishing second is a great price. You can see how good they can be in the system he’s playing. Frank wasn’t even playing Alonso for example. How many defenders can score a goal of the quality of the one against us?
Re: Spurs-Chelsea
Cracking goal - a lot of Chelsea fans that I’ve spoken to don’t like / rate Alonso anymore. They’d been wanting a replacement for a while.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 12:05 amExactly. Re: Spurs-Chelsea
Maybe but is Chilwell going to get a look in now. They look defensively sound now and were very good first half tonight. Alonso ends up in the box quite a lot too. Definitely reckon they’ll end up behind City and above everyone else, assuming Werner or whoever learns where the goal is.
Re: Spurs-Chelsea
8 point gap to United. It’ll take some doing to turn that around and finish above them. Based on current points and form, I’d go for:Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 12:15 amMaybe but is Chilwell going to get a look in now. Man City
Man United
Chelsea
Liverpool
Leicester
West Ham have a shout of top five if anyone doesn’t keep a good run going. Credit to Moyes, he’s not doing bad with that basket case.
