I've seen the Wolves clip on YouTube 1983 (Link below), but I'm sure there was another in which the players were frozen before half time. Can't remember which game that was though. And I can't remember being so cold on t'Turf. Hartlepool. Now that was a different level of cold !

I think it was a midweek F A Cup replay at the Turf against West Brom
i think we won 2-0 iv'e never been as cold on the Turf than that night.

We drew 0-0 with Scarborough at Turf Moor one evening in the Dirty Van Trophy; match abandoned after 90 minutes (frozen pitch), extra time was not played, so the "replay" was at home as well.

I still say Peterborough at home around 2011 was the coldest game i have been to. After that I'd say Coventry away 2005 at the Ricoh arena, bitterly cold and then Middlesbrough in 2011/12 season when Trippier smashed home a rocket from around 20 yards.

Scarborough and Portsmouth away are the 2 fixtures that have stuck in my mind for feeling frozen all the way through the game. Home games seem to be cold with a regularity that was surprising until I realised it comes with attending so many more games there than anywhere else

Yep....the away end at Fratton Park at that New Years Day game was as cold as Ive ever been I think !!

Peterborough at home in 2011 or 2012, stood on the lower Longside at the cricketfield end, snow and wind blowing in my face for 90 mins, was a freezing day on my own as I went to the ground straight from home and 5 mins in got a message from friends who decided not to brave the weather and stay in the pub, even Jay's superb run and goal couldn't persuade me to get my hands out of my pockets.

Bury away on the way to Wembley. The wind and driving snow blowing right into the Burnley fans' faces.

Didn’t make the Portsmouth game but certainly Hartlepool and Coventry were terrible. Hartlepool mainly for the wind and Coventry because the stadium just trapped the cold in that soulless bowl.

Yep. The game was played on a sheet of ice. I remember Torvill and Dean up front running rings round our defence. No wonder Marlon got sent off. Game should never have been played.

And as a 16 year old, I had the hangover from hell (and it was the 2nd Jan, thats how bad it was)

Peterborough at home is definitely up there but it was somewhat chilly for the JLV free kick on a winter's Tues night .at Derby about 15 yrs ago

That game should never have kicked off, I think they were worried to postpone due to the volume of Clarets. Didn't we lose 2-0 as well?

I remember that Portsmouth game it was really freezing and we played crap as well.

Peterborough away in the late eighties was ice!

Another vote for the Portsmouth away game. I had my 2 kids with me and had to get them to stand on cardboard to try and insulate their feet from freezing to the terracing !!

I will always remember the Hartlepool game. Went on the Bee Hole End. Arrived 20 minutes after the KO and left 25 minutes before the end. I think we lost 1-0 ? Putting your hands on the crush barriers meant instant frostbite. The moisture on my mouth glued my lips together and my tears rendered me blind for a few days.
