Was that the Royal Dyche Sunday pub team ?

A couple old timers with a few raw glass collectors who have never played football together as a team before. The manager forgetting the paperwork and having to make a last minute phone call to get a young kid out of bed to replace his (banned) part-time cellarman.

Playing a cup match against a lower league pub team from the seaside who turned up on time, looking younger, keener and more “up for it” . Desperate football tactics - hoping that long punts upfield might catch in the wind and trouble the Seasiders’ keeper only to find out that our main target man looked as if he’d had a night on the tiles.

Anyone been there on a wet Sunday morning ? I have, but I’ve never seen a game like it televised Internationally. That’s the way to maximise the image and build the Burnley Football Club’s profile around the world.

it's a good job we were playing Bournemouth and not Brentford because 2 could have been 7

Televised internationally - ffs.

Just grateful there's a travel ban on so I don't have to put up with the rest of the world laughing at me for that display.
