All credit to Ian Woan. Condolences to Ian and his family. In the context of the game he perhaps was aware that this is what his dad R.I.P ,would have wanted him to do - but all credit to him, when your emotions are all over the place. I'm sure the lads were playing for him and his family too.

Sad news today - Crystal Palace reported that their former player Alan Woan has passed away at the age of 90. His son Ian is our assistant manager.

My thoughts with Ian and the Woan family today.

I went on the Palace site last night and saw the tribute to Mr Woan. Despite not being a common surname I must admit I didn't read it or look it up on Google. Not good on my part.
