Screaming - Turn the Fake sound off.

It is so bad it is embarrassing.

Turn the fake sound off - Ref's are falling for it - VAR is backing up the Ref's - Players are using it.
Pundits won't mention it.
Cheating is / has ruined the game.

A random hope is "fans" when allowed back, all in unity...

Produce a HIGH PITCHED A SCREAM as if mortally wounded at every one of these situations happen

Imagine a high pitched scream from the crowd following a dive...
Or a light tap followed by shin holding and rolling around.

I know screeching is not the normal way to respond a nudge to most people... For some it is natural.

Can you imagine the likes of Martin Johnson or Mako Vunipola screaming like a baby on dislocating a shoulder?

These overpaid, pansy footballers need to 'man-up'. Or is that term in breach of their human rights? ;)

Hull's Joe Westerman dislocates his knee... and knocks it back into pace :o

I still think a high pitched screech from the Cricket Field would be for the greater good of the game.

Frustration > 2,3, 4 - "arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrght" ........... "my haircut"

The players wouldn’t do it if the refs didn’t fall for it.
It’s like VAR giving penalties when a players dives for the slightest of touches because slow motion shows a player is touched, most refs think that’s a proven pen.

In my experience, there are many fans who scream when they think one of their teams' players has been fouled anyway.

I think the best answer to it is to show Lowtons goal on loop.

How many players when colliding with Van Arnholt at 2-0 up would have gone down and hoped for a free kick, waste time and booking for the opponent? Instead Lowton bulldozed his way through and scored the goal of his life.

There should be far more of that.

The problem is as above - the refs fall for it. The players go for it. And try and get a cheap advantage.

Unfortunately, it works. You gain a slight advantage, a free kick, or your opponent gets booked so the incentive is there to do it. There's a lot of money at stake.

Curiously, it's mostly a male thing. My daughter plays in a girls and a boys league. I've never heard one scream or seen an injury feigned in the girls league. The boys are terrible for it, rolling around, crying and wailing just like their heroes on the telly.

Have a look at his goal for Aston Villa vs Stoke City. Makes Saturdays look a tap in.

I had a drunken theory the other night.

Is it because they start playing as children, often only playing in a professional environment?
In real life you learn to 'man-up' (for want of a better term) otherwise you are called out as soft in school.
However, the screams, wailing and getting upset is something an 8 year old will do, but they were often playing around that age within academies.

The players who got there the long way don't tend to do the wailing. Vardy may go go from contact, but I don't recall him screaming.

It’s a learnt behaviour that gets a reaction/response, much like grunting by tennis players.

Just tell the loudest screamers it will be ignored or that the free kick will be awarded the other way.

Bang them in the sin bin for 15 mins. That will stop it. I HATE it. Bloody cheats.

Never heard so much as a scream from players breaking a leg and other such serious injuries but the recent surge is just something else brought in via the Premier League. It is embarrassing for us Football fans when trying to speak to Rugby fans about our passion.

Often said that refs understand the laws but not the game and this is a clear example of that, no understanding that some players are taking advantage with the squealing. As for the pens, I know we don't score many goals but at least we try and stay on our feet to score goals.

Overpaid , self important bunch of divas a vast majority of them. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of good eggs amongst them, but the cheats and the “look at me” flannels really stand out and get on my t1ts

Seen that before. World class no doubt. Just prefer the whole build up, determination, skill and strength before an equally good finish.
