AO Seafood

Post by Rowls » Tue Feb 16, 2021 3:00 pm

Does anyone use this company?

What's their fish like and is there a best day of the week to visit (ie. when do they take fresh delivieries)?

They' offer decent value on a wide range of appliances. Would recommend.

Yes. When I want a local review of what is apparently the only fishmonger in the local area (without going to Blackb*rn).

Thanks Baron.

The lobster and scallops look a bit pricey.

I'm hoping there's some good fresh fish on the day.

I have found your better off getting it delivered, you seem to get fresher fish that way.

I go to their shop next door to Argos on Canning Street regularly, always found the fish to be excellent quality and reasonably priced.

Used them or years. Decent selection, well priced and helpful if you want any advice or prep doing. The bags of frozen, raw king prawns are fantastic. They’re huge. 3 in a bowl of pasta is plenty

Funnily enough went there yesterday for first time in ages. Got some salt and pepper fishcakes that were 11/10! Very good.

The prawns are always excellent and the fish is definitely far better than supermarkets.

They should have plenty of reasonably priced Scottish shellfish.
