A lot of huff and puff in a game that was there for the taking. I do believe if we’d have had one of vydra or Wood on the bench to increase the tempo up top last 30mins we’d have won that game.

Tonight they were all 7s with Jack Cork MOM.
Charlie Taylor showed yet again what a good defender he is but he adds nothing going forward, every appearance.

Pope 6 - very little to do that wasnt regulation.
Lowton 6 - solid enough but not as much going forwards as recently.
Long 7 - largely untroubled defensively but has to score that chance in the first half.
Tarkowski 7 - very solid and excellent run and cross in the first half.
Taylor 6 - one excellent cross that deserved better but a little off his usual pace tonight.
Gudmundson 5 - thought he was continually too deep when Lowton or Jay made progress down that side and sloppy on the ball at times.
Cork 7 - thought he played well and imposed himself well in the first 70 minutes
Westwood 7 - some excellent passing and tried to make things happen.
McNeil 5 - overcomplicated it tonight I'm afraid.
Jay 7 - much better in the second half after looking a little.sluggish in the first. Should have scored though..
Barnes 6 - should have took more care with the chance in the first and quite what he was doing going down towards of the match I dont know. Play football.

Brady 3 - shocking on their goal, as with Gudmundson recently. Nothing went right for him tonight, and you could see his disappointment with his performance after being subbed.
Brownhill 6 - fine but we need creativity from wide against these teams.

We were comfortably the better side for 70 minutes and should have been at least one up at half time, the Long and Jay/Barnes chances were good ones. Quite how we let them score I'm.not sure and that's two home games running where we have conceded extremely soft goals from teams whom have put us under next to no sustained period of pressure. They got more control once they put 5 in midfield in the last 20 mins, and unfortunately we seemed to just accept the point. Important not to lose these games but we should be aiming for more than 2 points out of our last two home games.

He clearly wasn’t properly fit tonight but to say he offers less going forward than Pieters is baffling.

No spends most of a game on the floor

Clearly had to risk unfit players today. This put a lot of pressure on players who have been playing nonstop. Did very well to get a point against physical Fulham who were desperate for a win. Lack of depth in squad cost us the win

Must admit I agree with this.

Taylor is a much better defender but I do think Pieters offers more going forward. Depends what you want from a left back.
