Cards on the table Simple

I think we will by 4-6 points, but it'll be nervy for a while, and a bit too close for comfort for my liking.

Yes I think we will do it very marginally but I suspect we will be pulled into it in that journey and there will be some nerves on this forum. As I said before it depends which Burnley team turns up (hopefully the one that played so positively v Palace, rather than last Saturday's)

Yes but it could get bumpy. It would be typical burnley to get 2 wins from the next 4 games now and ensure safety

Yes we are we’re we are despite one of our worst runs in a long while, with injuries and low moral (though not as a team I suspect), not scoring goals and not often looking like we are going to. Eventually it will turn, hopefully soon and I still think it’s realistic to be looking up at mid table.

I posted before the season began that I thought we could go down. Its going to be a rough ride for a while .
we have some very tough fixtures ahead. That said, so has everyone else . If we can remain relatively free of injuries there should be a chance to get ourselves safe and pull away from the drop zone. Hoping Fulham in particular revert to their previous form and plummet . shame about sheff utd , I wanted them to stay up. would be good to watch the tiresome toon army joining fulham.

Yes, we need to finish above 1 team IMO as the other 2 are rank bad and down.
Our next 4 games are very tricky though, that Newcastle one is going to be a big one.
Just hope we can get a bit if form together, as the last 2 has planted a seed of doubt in my mind.
Playing well and not winning is 1 thing, playing so poorly, not creating much and lack of a plan B with Fulham's upturn in form has just got me a little uncomfortable.

Last two replies have said 'easily' and 'comfortably' and I concur with neither. The one before those two said 'depends on injuries' and I believe that is the most determining factor. After Palace I would have said yes but the performances since, especially Saturday's, still concerns me.

Yes we are capable of drawing every game bar City.
Mind you Liverpool might be gunning for us after we started the greatest meltdown in football history.

It's almost impossible to say.
Much depends on whether we can get ourselves together
after the last abject display, keep players fit and get the injured back
and up and running.
We all fear losing Mee and Tarks to injury.
We may also worry about where the goals are coming from?
We need McNeil to step up and put in some match winning performances
and /or create more chances.
We may also need other teams to implode or do worse than us. Fulham in particular.
But we may fear that Fulham will continue their good run and close in on us.
There's too many ifs and buts for my liking and my nerves.
I'm hankering for the moment when I can look over my/our shoulder
and think there's no way anyone is going to catch us which probably translates
to us being 6 or more points clear with just a few games to go.
More so if we managed to put in some good performances and get a few good results.

So it would make sense to have a bet at 8/1 on Burnley being relegated.
To get odds of 8/1 on something that you judge in your wisdom to be 4/6 is an amazing offer and too good to turn down,
Surely you will be putting your money where your mouth is.

We don't need anyone to implode or do worse than us. There are five teams we can afford to perform worse than and still survive.

That’s why the things we love become a passion that takes over us , we find it hard to live with but impossible to live without .
Here’s some silver lining ; we will still love our club whatever happens this season .

No,defeats away to Fulham and Sheffield, and a home loss to Newcastle,After injuries to Tarkowski and Mee,Brady,Gudmonnson,Taylor,Barnes,Wood, leave us with a threadbare squad after no investment in last 2 seasons.Hope I'm wrong, but if not this season it will be next,

We will survive with a couple of games to spare. We will
Pluck a couple of wins from somewhere and gain a few draws aswell. I think Newcastle and Brighton will finish below us aswell.
Next season we are in the schitt unless we recruit heavily as in no fewer than 5 first team players. I suspect Dyche will look to exit through the side door than take on that responsibility though.

I unfortunately believe we will go down.
Look at the next 4 games, they alone will see us be dragged into the mire more.
It again comes down to the lack of recruitment, no two ways about it. I said it in summer and also the end if January, we cannot expect the physical pressure of a threadbare squad not to have a detrimental impact.
Sorry but we're going down, we are not good enough.
That said we are a decent Championship team so will welcome not battling the Premier league drop for a season or so.

I think we will stay up. I'm more worried about next season if we don't recruit in the summer with a few quality players and add a some youth and pace into the team.

I'm struggling to remember Elizabeth, but a marginally lighter one I think. (I'm inclined to blame Hillsborough '74 for changing things dramatically, but could be wrong as there have been so many of those type of moments)

Some proper drama queens on here.
6-8 points from 13 games - even “relegation form” should see us safe, but we’re better than that. WBA was an anomaly because of the effect of too many games in short space of time. We will win at least 2 more games, probably more.

I actually do think that IF we can pull it off this season, then there will definitely be investment in the summer as everybody at the club from Alan Pace down to Doris the tea lady knows we won't get away with it again. If by some chance there isn't major incoming in the summer, then we might as well give up. I just think we have to see this season through, cling on and the summer window will be a whole different entity to recent ones. (Maybe)

Our rebuilding job is nothing compared to Crystal Palace. Zaha wants out and they've got a squad with the majority out of contract and at an age where they need replacing anyway.

I hope you weren’t there DC, if you were it must have been a life changing moment for you.
Slightly off topic , I loved cowboy films when I was young and I always think of the wagon trails and the Red Indians looking down from the hills.
I imagine the accompanying music which used to scare me and the camera focusing on the Red Indian chief.
I’m not sure if there was but if not there should have been a Chief Dark Cloud.

Yes.
The next few games are very tough but we could still get the odd point. When Chris Wood returns, I’m confident we’ll pick up some decent results.

We'll be at least six points clear of 18th place come the end of the season, probably more. We were bad on Saturday, but that is what we do, intermix poor performances with much better ones. There'll be two or three more Wolves/Palace type displays yet.
I'm not particularly worried about the standard of the sides likely to come up from the Championship, but this summer's window is important. We need two or three new players in, not just squad fillers but first-eleven ready.

Oh, I was there that day alright, Elizabeth, as a bright eyed, OPTIMISTIC 16 year old and it definitely scarred me very badly as it clearly did many others who post on here.
Re your digress: I loved those films also when I was young and they're all so very un PC now which I do get tbh. Whether there was a chief Dark Cloud or not I don't know, but my name was given to me by a guy I played cricket with many years ago now and it's definitely stuck for some reason!!

In fact numerous people who know me in real life, especially following BFC, actually only know me by that name and don't realise I really do have another one!!

I think it’s good for the soul to hear others’ tales that bring you down to earth from time to time. Hopefully never of the likes of Hillsborough again.
