Realistic Dyche Replacement

It’s been a while since a ‘Dyche Out’ drive from some areas of the fanbase but it seems a little more prominent recently.
Of course it’s hypothetical and ALK have pretty much made him unsackable (unless he leaves for Palace in the summer) but who would people suggest as realistic replacements as and when he does go? The three below were the first I could think of and that fills me with 0 confidence at all.
1) Parker
2) Lampard
3) Duff

Mentioned on previous threads Stevie Gerrard seems an interesting shout.

1) Gerrard
2) Paul Cook
3) Graham Alexander
No I agree the cupboard is pretty bare in terms of a replacement, however somebody could come out of left field, as SD himself did in 2012.

Paul cook or Steve Cooper would be my shouts.
Regardless it doesn’t matter who we get in if our recruitment is going to be as crap as it has been for the last three seasons

Thomas Frank? The problem is this group of players are so drilled into playing a certain way, it won't be easy for the next guy to come in and change it.

If and when he goes it will be his choice, what he has done for us is remarkable and IMHO he is unsackable, regarding a replacement I think the owners will look for an appointment to broaden our international appeal especially in the states as that seems to be their aim for us, therefore I think it will be someone with American connections.

He’s been brilliant for us, but he will leave sooner rather than later (I actually think he wants ‘out’ and has done for quite a while)
I’d love us to take a punt on someone like Steven Gerrard and not go down the usual manager merry-go-round route.
Would Gerrard leave Rangers for us, though? I’m not so sure he would.

It usually follows that when a manager has been in charge of a club for a long time, the club goes into a bit of a decline. I think this is especially likely to happen with Dyche because of the way he seems to have influence over every aspect of the club. The playing squad has also been assembled to play a very certain type of football.
There does seem to be a lack of good candidates out there, as well. Some decent suggestions so far though, along with a couple of odd ones. One I might add, as a "left-field" name as they say, is Michael Appleton. I know he's a former barstewards manager, albeit for about 10 days, but he's got Lincoln City playing some fabulous attacking stuff this season and in the top two. May well be worth considering especially as we'll likely be on the way down at the point we have a vacancy.

Rafa Benitez. If we pay the current manager as much as the rumour he’d come.

Unless serious money is to be given, I can’t see and don’t want to see a change of management.
I often don’t like our styles, although I can appreciate our defensive organisation, barring days like today, when we never seem to learn.
I hope to see Dyche backed. In saying that, I certainly don’t think Dyche is blameless in our lack of recruitment over recent windows.
With what Dyche has achieved, with resources that have been overly and frustratingly limited, he’s worked wonders. He’s earned a chance to have more backing (financially and from us as fans).
I’d love to know what Pace is thinking right now.

I agree with that tbh, this season I've got the feeling that his heart isn't really in it anymore. It's a lot of money to walk away from though, and there's no guarantee he'd get another job in the Prem.

Gasperini or Marcelo Gallardo of River Plate. Doing fantastic over there and has been at his current club a long while so understands longevity and continuity. As mentioned further up I would hate to go down the recycled manager route.

There isn't one at the moment and truthfully don't want one, for what he has done during his tenure he deserves at least some financial backing to get some new blood in, especially younger players and there are some out there, we just need our scouting network to get their fingers out.

Dyche has done wonders for us, and he deserves a statue when he does finally go.
But this idea that our fate is pre-determined purely on whether Dyche stays or goes, is utter nonsense.

Probably along the lines off, where the hell am I going to find the 40-50m required to invest in the squad this summer.
As others have mentioned, without serious investment this summer it’s just a matter of time until we are relegated, that is if we are not relegated this summer.

I never said he was my 1st choice did I, but rightly or wrongly anybody with links to the club will be mentioned should a vacancy occur, so you'll probably find Barton touted as a possible replacement as well by the media should such a situation arise.

Yes I’m sure. Done wonders for them however with Atalanta doing so well and CL football he would be out of our reach I think. Gallardo is the next big thing in management, I’d love us to go out and appoint a totally left field manager that we wouldn’t usually appoint but it’s more likely to be a Barton or a Duff.

People should be very wary of what they wish for.... Sean Dyche and Burnley are a very good fit ...
There are better managers out there "if they have bottomless pits of cash to spend" but not if they have to work within a budget.

Thought Gerrard for a while. But it would be a stepping stone for him (on his eventual way to liverpool)

It’s not necessarily people ‘wishing’ for it.
There will come a time when it suits all parties for a change, and it may be that we’re coming to that point sooner rather later.
We’re bigger than Dyche, and there’s absolutely no reason why we still can’t progress if and when he moves on.

Emma Hayes is very left field. But I like it. Would be great to see a female manager leading a men's side at the top level. She's as good as any.

Whilst I don’t want to see them go, I suppose the question is; how much from the sale of Tarkowski, Pope and Gibson would Dyche be given.
It would be some rebuilding job, especially if we maintain our late in the day approach. It could potentially see us with a very workable war chest and I’d hope that we’re well on with targets based on this or similar scenarios.
Quite how that fits with ALK is the million dollar question.

Good post! Sean has done wonders for BFC, and it'll be a sad day when he does go, but nobody is bigger than the club not even Sean, and we should be staying alive to what happens when he does go, what's to say he won't take the Palace job this summer once Roy retires, so it would be daft not to at least have some contenders in mind for the position, not to do so would be remiss.
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail is a much used adage because it's correct, and if we aren't doing our homework on Sean's successor then we're asleep at the wheel.

.
He’ll take over from Klopp when both their contracts end at the same time.
I’d like a foreign one, German preferred. Someone who works with small budgets, play decent stuff and has great knowledge of the German leagues.

And yet the position we will find ourselves in come the summer is largely of our own making, Dyche included.
This was always going to happen, and even your bang average fan could see this on the horizon. We’ve been warning about it for 3/4 windows at least.
We’re now backed into a corner, and we’re potentially going to have to sell off the Crown Jewels to pay for this rebuild. Criminal, really, and I have very little sympathy because you reap what you sow.

We really don't need one. We just need to bloody survive this season somehow and then spend some bloody money for a change. The manager isn't the problem! He's great! In fact he's a bloody miracle worker!!
