That’s out of dateChester Perry wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 10:11 pmThat is what Linked In is saying - though strange that his profile does not mention the EFL so it could just be out of date

But does this mean that he’s out of the running?

I don’t think Dave is coming back as CEO despite any rumours which I hadn’t seen. I suspect we won’t replace Hart and Pace will probably take it on.

In some ways, I hope he does - will get to know the club much better by being involved in the day to day running. Also saves a salary, given we have a new board all presumably wanting to be paid.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 2:12 pmI don’t think Dave is coming back as CEO despite any rumours which I hadn’t seen. Only downside I can see is that it will inevitably consume a lot of time/effort that may hinder/slow him from implementing his vision for the club.

They've got a team of five though from America so I don't see anything getting hindered. Alan Pace has taken on Hart's role temporarily but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a permanent role although I understand he has had discussions with Dave Baldwin but not necessarily about him returning.NewClaret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 2:52 pmIn some ways, I hope he does - will get to know the club much better by being involved in the day to day running. Why else might have discussions taken place?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 3:43 pmThey've got a team of five though from America so I don't see anything getting hindered. Im assuming, being new in role, he was just enquiring about your favourite Krispy Kreme?

Tony - Did you mean 'not necessarily'?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 3:43 pmThey've got a team of five though from America so I don't see anything getting hindered. It was Lee Hoos with the Krispy Kremes. Why would he speak to Dave? He will have a lot of knowledge of the club given he was here from November 2014 to March 2020. I would think it could be worthwhile talking to him.

I was only jesting, but I did think you’d said there were Krispy Kremes at future meetings once Dave had realised you were so easily bought? Or I may just have imagined thatClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 8:20 pmIt was Lee Hoos with the Krispy Kremes. Why would he speak to Dave? I think you’re probably right and it’d make sense to me, but if AP is planning to take the role permanently though, why would they announce they’re seeking a successor? Surely an “stepping in while we evaluate options” message might’ve been more appropriate in that circumstance?

Although he’s now executive chairman I expect Pace to be the ceo by whatever title he goes by.
