Good point and would have been 3 if it wasn’t for Schmeichel. Don’t want to be too negative after a pretty good result against a top 4 side but our midfield quartet aren’t great. Brownhill is obviously out of position but he disappears, McNeil has been under par for a long time now but Westy, currently, is probably playing his poorest football for a long time. His touch and passing are way off the mark. Even though he came close to scoring he actually miss controlled the ball before he shot. Sorry to all you Westy lovers but he’s way off the boil at the moment

Really really good performance that other then the 10 mins or so 2nd half when they looked like they might nick it I think we dominated a lot. They will be releived to get a point

Tark 5 sloppy touches all night, no idea where he was for the first goal, left a huge gap between Lowton and Mee.

Pope 6 poor for their goal. A lot of people defending him but that was poor. He’d have saved it with his cock if he had just stayed in goal. It’s ok though because he doesn’t make too many mistakes.
Lionel lowton 8 he really does go on some good skilful runs. He’s a bit slow but looks good at the moment.
Tarks 7 pretty good.
Mee 8 solid
Taylor 8 great defensively and a couple of very good crosses.
Brownhill 7 puts a shift in out there on the right. He’s much better in the middle but not bad.
Cork 7 good solid cm performance
Westwood 7 not as involved as usual but what a strike
McNeil 7 not his best game but him just being involved vastly improves us.
Wood 8 class. Makes such a difference having woody back and sharp. He wins so much which I didn’t realise before. He looks like a donkey but he’s actually very good! Deserved the goal which stupid schmeichel denied.
Vydra 8 good partnership with wood and good goal.

Much improved performance and for me no weak links as such.

Taylor - 7 More like his old self and a real plus for me but needs to be a more attacking force.
Brownhill - 6 Encouraging improvement Not yet been totally convinced even in Centre Mid but he stuck at it.

McNeil - 7 More like the Dwight we know
Vydra - 8 Such a good finish and given his poor strike rate it was quite remarkable.

Play like that against the so called lesser teams and we will be ok. 8/9 points needed I reckon. Happier chap tonight (ish)

Brownhill 6 - He must have done better than I thought because of the dominance we had at times in the game. Needs to go blonde so he stands out more

McNeil 6 - one brilliant cross in first half , must be something that makes him switch off in games
Wood 9 - at the centre of everything going forward, bossed them
Vydra 9 - so hard working and no other Burnley forward is capable of scoring a goal like that. He must be given better than Dyche gives him

Pope 7 - his kicking wasnt great but thought his handling was excellent. Not sure you can point too much blame at him for the goal.
Lowton 8 - he is a real outlet in that position when asked to play a little more forward thinking. Some.good distribution and carried on his good form.
Tarkowski 6 - thought he was solid enough defensively but not sure he should have gone short for their first and a number of misdirected clearances.
Mee 7 - solid enough,maybe should have done better with the earlier header.
Taylor 7 - thought he was much better this evening.
Brownhill 5 - came inside much more effectively than Sunfsy to bolster our numbers. Some very sloppy distribution though.
Westwood 7 - thought he had a decent game and unlucky with the shot that hit the post. Perhaps could gave delivered crosses a little earlier on a few occasions.
Cork 8* - covered a lot of ground and picked up a lot of loose balls today. Used the ball well.
McNeil 7 - good game, one excellent cross in the first half and generally used the ball well. Perhaps a couple.of times his final ball could have been better.
Vydra 7 - really put himself around and used his body well. Should have done a lot better in the first half when the loose ball broke to him from Wood and we had a 2 on one with McNeil behind him.
Wood 7 - asked a lot.of questions of Leicester tonight but the final ball/finish just deserted him tonight.

Played some excellent football this evening and thought we were the better team overall and should have edged the 3 points.

I just wish (after 3 home draws in a row) we had 2 or 3 options from the bench. At least one if not all of those draws could and probably would have been won if we’d have had some options on the bench. I’m as frustrated tonight (for different reasons) as I was after the other two and tonight we played well.

I am (weirdly) more worried tonight than I was after any of the last few games that we might get relegated.

Thought the front two played very well today, Vydra shading it for me due to the goal.

Good game to watch, if rather nervy when they attacked because they could definitely cause our defence plenty of problems. However our front 2 were excellent and we caused them more, especially second half. Disappointed we didn't win it, but most of us would have taken the point at kick off I guess. Pleased for Vydra as he was really good quite apart from his goal and I think he makes us play more football and look a better side.

Pope 7 ok may be at fault for goal but some ridiculous scores, he pulled off some good saves and dominated his box

thought Cork could have been subbed later on, either Stephens or move Brownhill inside just to give us more of a presence in midfield where once again opposition teams play a system which gives them more options and run our two ragged. Overall a good point but the performance gives us a bit more hope going forward than the WBA game.
