Cork injured?

It appears Cork has a tight hamstring and is tough and go for Saturday. It would be a massive miss if he was out injured for a few games.

I agree. I thought he was very good last night and has been mostly since his return.
Spotted him holding the muscle last night and feared the worst.

I must admit that I'd written him off as his best days being behind him, but he's been excellent since returning from injury.

He has been playing very well but we can cope. Loads of options after Josh moves to his best position.

Its a pity we can't combine Josh's athleticism and combativeness to Corks vision , calmness and deft touch. That would be some hybrid midfielder

Our most underrated player by a mile. We are a far better team with Cork in it.
When fully fit it would be Cork and Westwood for me every week, Brownhill is decent backup.

Then if Cork is injured Brownhill drops in and JBG goes wide. Whilst we will miss Jack, JBG is more likely to do a better job than Josh has in past few games

I disagree I feel Josh is growing into a complete midfielder
Jack has been decent but he is on the fade and still good back up but not a regular pick

He will be a massive miss if he is out. The best midfielder at the club, a good bit ahead of Westwood and miles ahead of anybody else. Quality on the ball, works hard, positionally good, combative. Probably the best midfielder I've ever seen at the club. That partnership of him and Defour must have been a joy to watch week in, week out.

Yup the week in was brilliant
but but then 16 weeks out not so good

Where has this even been mentioned - Dyche has done a presser today and there was no mention of Cork or Vydra being injured?

A complete midfielder who doesn’t score or assist? He’s been fine but no more than that for me, has a long way to go to be anywhere near Westwood or Cork.

31 Premier league games in his whole career, majority played out of position in a team struggling for goals and he is marked down for not scoring or assisting
Jack Cork scored 1 goal in his first 67 games at this level over his first 3 season and that was with us, he made 56 appearances for Southampton and never scored
Jack turned out ok for us

It’s a real shame because the drop off from Cork and Westwood to the rest of our midfield is considerable.

I remember when we had a young Jack Cork on loan during our first season in the Premier League. He always looked a quality player with a good deal of ability. I don't think he's lost any of that over the years. I seem to recall him scoring an excellent goal against Spurs at the end of that season and thinking that would be the last time I watched Burnley in the Premier League.

Sometimes, Jack Cork is almost Dobson-esque, other times he gives the ball away too cheaply. Having said that, we are a better team with him in it.

It was plain as day, when we had Cork on loan, that he was going to be a very good player. I was really disappointed that we didn’t make his loan a permanent move (couldn’t afford him / he wanted a better move?).

Have to say when Brownhill was playing well early part of the season I thought Cork would struggle to regain his place. Then he came back. No question he & Westwood are miles above.
Just hope playing alongside him will develop Brownhills game.
