Pulled off the monumental, unthinkable task of winning the SPL.

Nah, but seriously, he'll be well chuffed. He's Rangers through and through. Deserves his success.

When it comes to the Old Firm, I find it difficult to decide which team I actually despise the most.

And a Celtic fan to boot , hey money talks

from being completely lost and not good enough for a poor Huddersfield team to winning promotion to the Premier League as a champion and then qualifying for Europe to then play for his team and win the league whilst doing well in Europe - not a bad story that !

Scott was a huge player for us scoring some incredibly important goals

Very true VC and and on top of that a tremendous human being too.

Both Scott and his brother Stuart did lots for my younger sister whilst she was suffering from the C word.

One of my favourite Burnley players in recent times. An absolute fans favourite with his graft, personality, and ability.

He’s been brilliant for Rangers too and I’m so pleased they’ve stopped Celtic.

Honestly felt Dyche got rid to soon, scored some important goals for us as an attacking midfielder to be replaced by Hendrick who IMO was less effective

Very well said Vegas, he's been a positive example to anyone in the game or in life generally come to that who has the ambition and character to keep going even when things don't always go the way you wanted.

He deserves all the plaudits he gets.

At his peak would certainly be good enough to get plenty of game time here when considering our squad and right mid options currently.

Possibly, didn`t know that, probably because he knew he would be at least second choice for the postition after Hendrick

I believe he did, and who can blame him, given the opportunity to play for the club he supports.

Whatever people down here think, Rangers and Celtic are huge football clubs with extremely passionate supporters.

I’d imagine with Gerrard winning a trophy now, it’s given the Liverpool board the justification to chat about life after Klopp....

You're aware that Rangers are still in the EL aren't you?

And this is precisely the reason Scotty went to Rangers to win trophies, let's be honest he was never going to win major honours with us was he.

And when he hangs up his boots in a few years he'll always have an SPL medal to go along with his Championship one, and that's something they can never take away from him.

Rangers have been utterly dominant up here this season, and they have every chance of going the entire league season unbeaten, now at any level that's some achievement, and demonstrates their incredible consistency under Stevie G this term, the bigger worry for Gers fans is how long will Gerrard stay in Glasgow, especially if the Liverpool job becomes vacant.

This comparison between Celtic, Rangers and the Premier League is very tedious. The budgets are World's apart so the wages will reflect this but the fact the Scottish Clubs qualify for Europe is an incentive enough for some players.

Both Scottish Clubs are far bigger than Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton and Leicester City in terms of supporter base. During our recent European adventure, the 7th placed team in the 'Best League in the Universe' hardly set the World alight against one of their lesser so called 2nd Division equivalent teams

Can't see Gerrard wanting to take a step down by taking over at Liverpool though

I do enjoy reading some of the stuff from bitter Celtic fans.

Gerrard eventually wins it. More down to Celtic being absolutely rubbish, but still.

I can't see Liverpool going for him though. Shown he's not good enough over his time as manager.

The fact that Kyle Lafferty, Brian Easton and Marvin Bartley all play in the EPL gives you an idea of the level. Celtic's annual accounts for year ending 2020 showed their turnover as 70m, Hearts declared 12m, Aberdeen just under 16m. Our wage bill is 86m which is as much as Rangers and Aberdeen combined.

That doesn't take anything away from the fact that Gerrard has transformed Rangers from a team who struggled to compete with Celtic to one who have taken the title after a record low number of games.

Well done Steven Gerrard and Scott Arfield.

I believe, Celtic and Rangers would both be comfortable top 10/pushing for Europe sides in the Premier League.

Not right now with the squads they have, but over time with the TV money etc available, they're much bigger clubs than half the Premier League.

I think Lafferty scored two goals last Saturday and Chris Long also scored in the Scottish Premiership.
