Re: Everton v Burnley - Player Ratings
Pope 7- not a great deal to doubt did what he had to well.
Lowton 7 - thought he was solid enough and showed some.good distribution. Maybe played Calvert Lewin on for their goal though...
Tarkowski 7 - very good.
Mee 7 - another who was very solid but slight question mar on there goal. Unlucky with the header and we should have had a pen in the first half.
Pieters 7 - he isnt as quick as Taylor and not as good an outlet but was very solid today and put in a brilliant ball in the second half.
Gudmundson 7 - thought he was really dynamic today, that's the Johan we want to see and unlucky not to score.
Brownhill 9* - he was absolutely fantastic today and his pressing feet the tone. He can be a big, big player for us in the years to come.
Westwood 8 - very good today. The yellow was soft but he pressed well and constantly asked questions of Everton with his distribution.
McNeil 8 - the goal was absolute class and he was a constant threat. His work load I'm.these last two games has been exceptional.
Vydra 8 - fantastic movement throughout. His pace allows us to be confident in pressing higher up the pitch. Should have scored at least one though.
Wood 8 - carried on his excellent form. Playing with a pacey frontman just afford him that little more space which makes a big difference to his hold up play and distribution
Brady 7 - worked really hard and a couple of nice passes
Jay Rod 7 - did well when he came on. Won some.good free kicks and looked dangerous.
Perhaps better than Palace. Everton were very fortunate to finish 2-1 today.
Lowton 7 - thought he was solid enough and showed some.good distribution. Maybe played Calvert Lewin on for their goal though...

Excellent performance, arguably our best of the season.
Vydra is playing really well and deserved a goal - his movement is creating space for others to play in.
Outstanding goal from Dwight and shout out to Brownhill, who despite some saying he ‘isn’t good enough for the Prem’ on another thread was absolutely everywhere.

It's a team game so high marks all round today for a very fine 93 minute alround performance.
Oh and loads of chances and two brilliantly taken goals.

Superb all round team performance.
If 'Character' and Hard Work' alone won titles, they'd be putting our name on the trophy already.
Great performances all through the side and, well deserved three points.

Re: Everton v Burnley - Player Ratings
Pope 7 - Solid, and a couple of good saves
Lowton 7 - Solid, worked hard
Tarkowski 8 - Dominant
Mee 8 - Outstanding
Pieters 7 - Did well, sometimes overloaded
Gudmundson 7 - Worked hard
Brownhill 8 - 10 defensively, 6 on the ball.
Westwood 8 - Outworked the Everton Midfield
McNeil - 10 - Wow, what a goal, and involved in so much of the good attacking play
Vydra 8 - Great movement, good feet...... but got to finish the chances
Wood 10 - Worked hard, brilliant in the air, link play excellent, and a top class finish to open the scoring.
Brady 7 - Worked hard (Not sure if he was on long enough)
A brilliant win, with some very enjoyable football, coupled with hard work and determination. Hopefully they can look up now, at Leeds and Wolves and go after them.

Vydra 8* ( fluffed his gilt edged chance sadly, but still my MOM)
Brady 5 (Keep him away from dead balls and free kicks for God's sake. He's utter pants!!!)
Nobody really wants to be 2 up away from home after the first 20 minutes as the finishing line is a long way off and there's very chance you can go on to lose it, especially if they get back in it relatively quickly!!! But we managed the game brilliantly, everybody played their part and we really could have finished them off on the break in the second half. I've (weirdly?) chosen Vydra as my MOM simply because I HONESTLY believe his enforced inclusion has caused us to play differently and we look a far more potent threat. His link up play with Wood is really good and although he missed his one great opportunity I desperately want us to keep him in the summer and make far better use of him.

Copied and pasted as I agree with it all apart from Brady, thought he did well. A 20 minute purple patch with excellent one-touch football and some solid defending in general with the odd let-off to be expected. Surprised at some of the lower marks, we can't forget the opposition in this, some top international players having a good season, vying for champions league football led by a guy who has seen and done it all as a player and manager. And we deserved it, think of that!

Tarks 8 (marked him down for losing DCL so easily.. probably a little mean)
JBG 8 (That first half was back to the injury free JBG from a couple of seasons ago)
Dwight 10 MOM (Outstanding young man.... sent Alan down the East Lancs Road and then WOW)
Westwood 9 (The press and quick football, particularly in the first half, from the two centre mids was absolutely topnotch, for me the midfield set the platform for that win)
Brownhill 9 (See above)
Vyrda 7 (superb until the final moment when it mattered, he had two glorious opportunities and I remain unconvinced he will score enough goals, but you can't knock his link with Wood and his movement, which were both brilliant and had he scored he would have been up at a 9 for me)
Wood 9 (led the line, linked with vydra and took his goal really well)
Brady 6 (A good and reliable contribution, set pieces = dire)
Lowton 9
Pieters 9

Vydra might miss a few chances but has movement and holdup play make us a good side! Brownhill was immense and my MOM.

Vydra 9 MoM I know he didn`t score but we played some fantastic football tonight and he was at the centre of at lot of the
good stuff up front, unlucky to be hooked
Subs
Brady 7 Thought he was wearing Robbie Blakes diving boots, not looking the RB pre injury yet
Rodriguez 7
Dyche 10 don`t know what he`s putting in the water bottles but do it from August next season

I marked him down solely for his set pieces which were poor.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 9:15 pmThought he did ok when he came on. A great performance from every player tonight!

You're easily pleased. Another pathetic free kick into the wind. Even the commentator suggested it would be difficult in the conditions, but his ego forced him to try.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 9:15 pmThought he did ok when he came on. A great performance from every player tonight!
Another poster had it right earlier. Sean is just using him to ease Gudders back in by not asking him to do 90 mins.

What you’ve got to realise is some posters, always need to single a player out, and find a negative!Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 9:15 pmThought he did ok when he came on. A great performance from every player tonight!

Re: Everton v Burnley - Player Ratings
I’ll tell you what’s pathetic, your comments about Brady. Ego? Forced him to try? Yes, pathetic comments.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 9:28 pmYou're easily pleased. And for what it’s worth, he did really well when he came on, worked his socks off and did some great defensive work.
