I'm getting to think Bin Ont Turf is one of them... A Leeds supporter and maybe even into Shaun The Sheep of The Dead...

A word of encouragement to BOT, I've suffered similarly in the past at the hands of Pstotto and feel stronger for it. I now look at Pstotto in a different light....I like him and look forward to his contributions.Volvoclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 9:45 pmBloody hell BOT, getting owned by Pstotto is, in the words of the blessed Margaret, like being savaged by a dead sheep.

Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
For all the plaudits given to Fulham in the last few weeks they are still in the bottom three, look shambolic in defence at times and have struggled to create many chances tonight when the chips are down. They look every inch a defeated team on the brink of relegation.

Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
If we’re meant to be getting giddy about the job Parker is doing with this Fulham side, I didn’t see anything to write home about tonight.
Leeds dominated most of the game. Only Leeds’ inability to defend set pieces was going to give Fulham a sniff.

Fulham offered little tonight and the score line flattered them. Fair play to Leeds who were excellent apart from all the missed chances

So.
An improbability has happened.
A Leeds victory is cause for celebration.
They did actually connive with us before, Leeds-Liverpool canal?
So.
However... No celebration FOR Leeds, but that the outcome of the result is that it works in our favour.

Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
Not sure it's that a big result for Brighton or Newcastle.
The big result for them is their game against each other tomorrow.
A draw would suit us but a Newcastle win probably wouldn't.
A Brighton win would put more pressure on Newcastle and still give Fulham hope.
Whatever, it's our results against Southampton and Newcastle that will decide
whether we're safe or still in the mix.
3 or 4 points against those two will do me.
As long as we don't lose to Newcastle.

Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
Just a quick question:
If Fulham are not a threat to our PL survival why are we following their results?
All we ever needed to do was knock up 40 or more points, let's hope we can do that.

It’s been a really boring season for me, so a tasty relegation decider on the last day between those two sounds like fun. Although it will clash with our predictable 1-0 defeat to Sheff Utd.

Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
Decent result on balance, the chances of Fulham catching us are now incredibly slim.
Yes we could have chased Leeds down, and indeed still could do so, but it's nice to have that extra buffer if our results start going awry.
Bamford certainly impressed, and GS must be considering him for the Euro's, on his form this season he deserves a call up to the squad at the very least.

All that money spent and Fulham cant buy a decent striker.Lòokman showed why Everton sacked him off, lacking consistency and composure. Also who told them Mitrovic was the answer. He's a poor man's Andy Carroll

Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
I think at this stage and with the season we've had (are having) largely due to injuries in our thin squad and bearing in mind the start we had, we have to want any team below us to lose as often as possible until such time as we are properly safe. I'm quite happy with that result.
Re: Fulham v Leeds tonight
If Fulham had won, and Newcastle beat Brighton, we would have been right in the mix. We still have to play both Fulham and Newcastle, we still have a small squad. Injuries to the wrong players (Ben Mee) could make a significant difference. Things change very quickly in football, so Fulham losing makes a big difference to us. I don't care about Newcastle and Brighton, as long as we are safe

As hard as it is watch Leeds pull away from us, and as much as I’d love a decent end-of-season run to pull us somewhere near we finished last year in mid-table, survival is all that matters in this strange season.
Unexpected injuries can happen at any time and with Newcastle/Fulham to play, best result for us.

Thats down to the gung ho style of football they play. All or nothing.djemba-djemba wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 3:59 amRight, but you left out the bit that they are well clear of us because they’ve now won four more games than us.
This season they have got away with it because they are new, next year teams know what to expect, it will be completely different.
Time will tell, but I don't think they are a good team. A different manager, who tightened them up at the back, could improve them, but I don't think Bielsa can do that.

TBF everyone has known exactly how they're going to play since about October, but they've carried on picking up points.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 11:53 amThats down to the gung ho style of football they play. All or nothing.
