The one thing that amazes me is just how many unbelievable players have played in this league

Need to have a good think about this, typed it up and changed my mind

That's my choice for now..

I might change my mind later

Bergkamp has to be in there, feels strange to leave Rooney out but so many of the worlds best strikers have played in the premier league.

I’m struggling RB, obviously LB picks itself. I’d probably pick Irwin before Gaz Nev

Ivanovic is a great shout, he was immense.

I just had to pick hazard, I’ve seen him play live twice and he was just another level to everyone else

I was going to have a go at this but seeing as I can only pick Ben Mee once it seems a pointless exercise

I nearly went with Gary Neville, but as good as he was, I just preferred Ivanovic.

Same with picking Hypia, it was either him, Desailly or Carvalho.

In regards to the winger, again I just prefer Silva, but it was tough with Giggs also a world class winger

Such a difficult one to answer. The best one is when you can only pick one player from each club. It makes it a little easier, strangely, because you don’t have to try and fit Bergkamp, Vieira, Scholes, Keane, Ronaldo, Rooney, van Nistelrooy, Henry, Pires and Giggs into the same XI!

Oh, and topically - Aguero has to feature somewhere. His record is phenomenal and if his current manager hadn’t decided his face didn’t fit I think he could very well have broken Shearer’s record.

During the lockdowns last year Carragher was regularly throwing those things up on Twitter.

Some really good choices, spectacular debates and some people who just didn't understand the question

Difficult one this. However, how anyone can leave out the Premier league's all time top scorer in an all time best league is a bit daft really.

In my honest opinion, anyone who DOESN’T have Schmeichel in goal, Scholes in midfield and Shearer up top has NO business posting anything on a football related message board.

All the other positions are up for grabs, and I could probably understand the reasons for your particular selection, but the spine HAS to be the three I suggest.

Image the goals Shearer would have scored had he played with the likes of De Bruyne, Hazard, Silva, Ronaldo rather than Stewart Ripley and Rob Lee.

Great question this,been some fantastic premier League players and it's hard to fit them in to a team.I would go 4-4-2.
