Corey hails from Listowel, Ontario about a 30 minute drive north from my home. Many old order Mennonite's reside in the area and still use a horse and buggy for transportation.

Tybc, are you using the overall scores for those chosen for R3/4 or the scores for the individual round? eg Spieth scores -5 overall or 0 for round 3. I got the impression it was the individual score for R3/4 and so my score would be much lower than the one you have given me. If its the overall score I would have expected to see more picks for R3/4 coming from the top end of the leader board.

I am using the cumulative scores for the 4 tournament players.

Add to that the frozen scores from the extra players used from days 1 and 2.

Then add those selected yesterday for your days 3 and 4. This is their cumulative score not just for the day.

Does that make sense?

At least Xander has improved my score a bit. Sadly, the damage was done on day one and there was no return from there. Thank you for your hard work.

Great job TY.I have moved up from +14 to - 2. Think my boys will do even better today,including the mighty clarets.

Makes perfect sense as it’s hopefully easier and quicker to calculate. It also results in better scores for us all.My way gave me a score around the +1 mark as my selections struggled to par the course in R3. Using overall scores gives me -26.Thanks for the explanation.

Just having a look at this thread at half time.

Firstly I’d say that while I have gone from 2nd to nearly last in round 3, my picks were useless yesterday so I wouldn’t win anyway, but....

I don't get this thing about “their cumulative score not just for the day”. That directly contradicts the opening post rules, which said something to the effect of their scores for rounds 3 and 4. That was why many of us picked players well down the leaderboard. Otherwise people can just pick players who have already shot low scores which sort of defeats the object trying to predict.

Great effort and much appreciated running this little comp, probably just a little too complicated in the scoring, giving yourself a tough task! Anyway, match restarting.....

I’m well out of it and not that fussed, but have to say, that’s exactly how I read it and this, opted for players outside the top seven or eight for my picks.

Guys. I apologise if I have confused the issue which was of course non intentional.

Out of interest I have recalculated the league as if the players chosen for days 3 and 4 had started from scratch.

The top six in the league table would remain in the top six and the only change would be me going top!

Given we are now on the last day I don't see any point in changing the scoring at this stage but will certainly listen to suggestions before the next comp.

This has been hard work with coinciding with the Grand National and the finishing time each night meaning that I don't compile the scores until around 2am. Also the problems with the rules and a quarter of the entrants not selecting the second half of the competition has led to it being a bit of a nightmare.

But it is normally very enjoyable so yes roll on the rest of the majors.

Matsuyama closing in on victory, he'll be the 1st Japanese man to win a major assuming he completes this feat.

Double congrats to tybfc for winning the comp and also administering it, which must have been a nightmare.

Format works very well, probably the switch of players for round 3 and 4 made it a bit too complex, especially as many of us would have been unavailable to change players between R2 finishing and R3 starting. But a good stab at making it interesting for all of us.

Well done Hideki too of course - even though he did get incredibly lucky dodging several bushes. Must be Japan’s year, won the US Women’s Augusta Amateur and now this, then the Olympics.

Congratulations to Hideki Matsuyama & tybfc for winning the Masters & Golf Nap League.
