It gives them something to work with - if non-football revenues grow and strategies/implementations are proved while in the Championship, it gives a wider market to resell their approach. That does not mean that they would choose to go down, just that it can be made to work in their favour, if they come back up stronger.

Re: Dyche not to Palace at the end of the season
Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira is on the list of managers being considered by Crystal Palace if 73-year-old Roy Hodgson leaves at the end of his contract in the summer. The Frenchman, 44, has been out of work since leaving Nice in December. (Athletic, subscription required)

If he can maintain his PPG rate, he’ll keep them mid-table. Quite whether or not he’s up to a rebuilding job, I don’t know, though I do know who I’d prefer and he wouldn’t be a World Cup winner!IanMcL wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 11:09 pmArsenal legend Patrick Vieira is on the list of managers being considered by Crystal Palace if 73-year-old Roy Hodgson leaves at the end of his contract in the summer. Re: Dyche to Palace at the end of the season
I believe a former Burnley manager is likely to be first choice at Palace should Hodgson leave.

Eddie would be a good fit for the Eagles and it's not too far from the South Coastkentonclaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 9:10 pmCT has already written an Eddie(torial) to announce the new appointment

There needs to be Laws against using previous Burnley managers in quips, it makes me reCoyle in horror, if I'm honest. Howe people think its funny I mean, Ternent names into other words to make a point - it just isn't. They Waddle in here and start Cavanagh laugh Mullen over the forum - it Pickles my mind.

Re: Dyche to Palace at the end of the season
It will be rather edifying to watch a former Burnley manager bring a very cultured relegation to Palace.
Re: Dyche to Palace at the end of the season
I understand that discussions are underway.to possibly
elevate Roy to Board level with a sort of Technical Director brief. A similar role was previously undertaken
separately by Dougie Freeman and Steve Coppell but without Board status. Roy has been excellent for them and his experience and knowledge is vast.

You just wouldn’t throw away the sort of experience Hodgson has if you have any sense.matucana wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 1:37 pmI understand that discussions are underway.to possibly

Surprise surprise - Lampard is now ‘emerging’ as favourite for the Palace job according to John Percy.

Frank Lamper will be able to shine a light on Palace’s problems. Hare today, gone tomorrow.
