It's been pretty dreadful on the Turf this season without any fans.
Certainly not a fortress like we need it to be.

Most teams have struggled at home, yes we can do better, but poor home form is not unique to us.

The bigger worry is how many winnable games we've drawn at the turf, and we've only beaten Sheff Utd amongst our fellow strugglers, now it shouldn't be a problem this season, but it is something we'll need to improve drastically next season.

We have 3 home games left against West Ham, Leeds and Liverpool. All in form sides. If we don't win any of them it will be the lowest number of home wins I have seen in a season (from 1990) I reckon.

Yes it's rare for our form at TM to be so poor, but I suppose as long as we stay up it doesn't really matter where the points come from.

It's been the weirdest of weird seasons.
Not just for us, all through football, sport and, life in general.

Just had a look at the 94/95 championship relegation season that I thought might come close. But we won 8 home games that season, although 4 more home games.

Think we only won 4 at home when we went down with Dyche

You're correct. 4 wins with one being against Man City.

Let's just get these final games done and dusted and then we can put this sorry season and year behind us. Being back on the Turf next season will make the world of difference.

The bigger concern is the dropping of points against the sides below us. We haven’t lost many either of course, but we’re normally so reliable against them.

By my reckoning we’ve only won one of the six games we’ve played.

Amazing really that our last home win was the Villa game at the tail end of January, we haven't lost many but it's 8 without a win including the Bournemouth cup tie, fortunately we have been nicking enough draws coupled with the wins at Palace and Everton to keep us safely out of the clutches of the relegation zone, and you'd imagine we'll be much stronger at TM next season.

We've done more than enough to win our 'winnable' games, the problem is we haven't put them to bed.
I'd be more concerned if we'd been outplayed in these games, but only West Brom really deserved a result. The rest just got lucky by our crap finishing.
I think the fault lies with the players on the pitch, rather than Dyche, but I wish he would rip into them at times.
Losing a lead, like at Southampton, can happen. Doing it 2 games running just isn't acceptable, and the players need telling so.

Away wins at Arsenal, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Everton. How often can we say that we've won as many away from home as we've won at home?

Fine margins....

Which season was it when our first away win was at Selhurst Park - in April?

UTC

Yes those 3 wins at Arsenal, Everton & Liverpool probably wouldn't have happened in a normal season.

Palace win was 16/17 and that secured our survival, but of course we were incredibly strong at home that year, and never really in any real danger of relegation because of that.
