It’s interesting though I thought to look at the original music behind the chants.

That’s interesting. The second part works ( when we win promotion ...etc) but the first part doesn’t.

The first 23 seconds of this clip are pretty much the tune sung on the Longside, as I remember.

I remember when Tommy Docherty was at the turf and to Mrs. Brown... He's up Mrs. Brown he's up Mrs Brown Tommy Docherty Tommy Docherty He's up Mrs. Brown. TD. RIP. He was a neighbour lived up the lane from me, thought about not posting because of poor taste.
There have been a lot of inventive chants over the years. Who remembers " who's that fellow with a t.t on his head Dixon Dixon who's that fellow with a t.t on his head Dixon of Dock green. Sung to the Bobbies walking around the edge of the pitch.
Sorry for rambling on.. Had a few beers after having our dog put to sleep today.

It also fits 'you're not Robbie Blake'....

I'll add 'She'll be coming round the mountain ' for Aye Aye Ashley Barnes.

Arise, children of the Fatherland,
The day of glory has arrived!
Against us, tyranny's
Bloody standard is raised, (repeat)
Do you hear, in the countryside,
The roar of those ferocious soldiers?
They're coming right into your arms
To cut the throats of your sons, your women!

To arms, citizens!
Form your battalions
Let’s march, let’s march
That their impure blood
Should water our fields.

...

Sure knocks our dirge into a cocked hat.
