He was a little loose in possession a small handful of times in the first half. But he got into good positions, had an assist and almost scored with a good strike from distance. No player deserves less than 8 including Lowton in my opinion after a brilliant performance.

He'd a good game, Dave.
As well as his defensive work, he made some driving runs and, brought out a very good save from their keeper at the end with a rasping shot.

Really don't think that's the case, Vicar.

The one-eyed man is the ruler in the kingdom of the blind. In the kingdom of the three-eyed men, the man with two eyes and 20-20 vision is second best.

Nobody has given Lowton a below par mark and that is what is important. Lowton had a great game. Many around him played specacularly well today.

Wood 10 doubt you'll see a better forward display, scored 3, made 1, held the ball up well, a great link up with Vydra, and a real menace all afternoon

Glad we went 442 as the top 2 are forming a great partnership, and we are a threat in various ways and have more options.
Great performance, and certainly enough points now to plan for another season at the top table.

Pope 8 - Good positioning for everything today
Lowton 7 - Not actually had a lot to do with relatively little coming down his side
Taylor 8 - Shackled Traore very well and when he got forward showed said player how to cross a ball
Tarkowski 8 - Maybe a 9 if he hadn't gone down theatrically from the Traore Karate' chop to his windpipe
Mee 8 - A quiet game from the skipper
McNeil 9 - He looked very assured today and his crossing was first class
Cork 10 - Broke up anything and everything Wolves tried to get started
Westwood 10 - So dominant today he was hardly noticed, like a midfield ninja! Great strike for the goal.
Brownhill 8 - Complimented everything we did
Vydra 9 - He worked his socks off today, deserved a goal for that cool finish. He is much better without gloves on
Wood 10* - Faultless is maybe a bit too strong but there wasn't much wrong with his performance today and a hat trick was maybe a bit too light for his efforts!

Rodriguez 7 - Not a lot of action for Jay but slotted in seamlessly.

Dyche 10 - I'm not sure if you ever change much game to game but whatever you did for today was excellent!!

With only a couple of minutes left Taylor and Mcneil doubling up and not giving up on Traore and stopping him once again, saying that the team were unbelievable today closing down and pressing was brilliant, Excellent result and another season in the top flight to look forward to.

No, not at all.

That sort of thought is common on here.

It’s not a vendetta, a dislike for him or anything else. For me, it was simply because in the first half he wasn’t quite up to standard, playing a number of loose balls etc.

Why would you mark someone the same as others who had played better in the first half and as good as in the second? That wouldn’t be a true reflection of my view of individual performances.

By your logic, we’d be marking everyone across the team exactly the same in each game.

Pope 7 - Very little to do but did what he had to well.
Lowton 6 - he had a poor start but got better. He wasn’t troubled too much down his side.
Tarkowski 6 - solid but not put under any real pressure. Docked a point for him starting the first half fracas in our penalty area. No need for that whatsoever.
Mee 7 - solid but not put under any real pressure.
Taylor 8 - managed Traore well and contributed to the attack.
Brownhill 8 - what energy, more so in the second half. Tenacity personified.
Westwood 9 - part of a midfield that controlled the game. Extra point for the neat finish.
Cork 8 - ditto Westwood.
McNeil 9 - kept mostly to the wing. Helped out Taylor and two assists. I liked his anticipation and execution for the second goal.
Vydra 8 - very energetic. If he had that bit more ability he’d bag loads of goals. Neat finish for the offside goal though.
Wood 10 - top class! A hat trick, an assist and a constant problem for Wolves defence.

Wolves were awful but our energy, tenacity, some skill and Chris Wood swept them aside. Very enjoyable!

No comments needed for Chris Wood but Dwight was equally outstanding imo. 2 assists and tremendous defensive effort supporting Charlie Taylor. Perfect team performance

Fantastic performance that *should* see us over the line. Woody was magnificent today and one of the most complete centre forward displays seen for a very long time. For me though we have been a different side since Cork came back in. Haven’t had the results to back up the performances but he just makes our midfield better.
