Anyone else encountered an alligator on a sports field? I've had loads of encounters in South Carolina (Hilton Head Is) and Florida.

Yes, I've met an alligator guarding the green - or perhaps it was the sand trap. I think it was Mobile, Alhabama, about 1990.

Take a penalty drop and make it snappy! ;)
