I'm sure the name won't be familiar with many of you but Stuart Harvey was initially a scout for Burnley in Northern Ireland before moving over and taking over as head of academy recruitment. He was pushed out of our club by Jason Blake and joined Blackburn where he held a similar position before becoming taking charge of their first team recruitment at the beginning of 2019.

Stuart's a top man, even if I could never get to grips with his Belfast accent over the phone.

He's now been confirmed as the new Head of Recruitment at Sunderland.

Mistook that for Shaun Harvey for a moment - he has been advising the new Wrexham owners of late

The new owners at Sunderland have got themselves off to a promising start - things may be looking upwards again for them

God help them if they've gone anywhere near Shaun Harvey.

Stuart is a really good lad. Big job at Sunlan

Is it 7 now? I know my mate whose a Sunlan fan has gone very quiet recently. They'd been on a superb run just before that too.

Given Defour's imminent retirement I hope we have eyes on him to scout for us in Belgium, knows the requirements of the PL and being in a Dyche team

I had the same problem when I first spoke to you on the phone when we were trying to find each other at Stamford Bridge at the League Cup game.

your confusing short term on the pitch performance to what I was referring to that is going on within the club - things are improving rapidly on that front from what I have seen
