But we should have bribed the Greeks and referee as they did. I suppose Greeks dont like spiced meat pies though.
Should have just beat them instead of making up excuses and crying about the ref

That would be a heck of an achievement having a clean sweep in 2 of the last 3 seasons, considering it'd never happened prior to 2019.

And this just shows how well Burnley are doing to even be attempting to compete with these type of clubs, and it also makes our rare triumphs over them all the sweeter when it happens.
City, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal if it happens. And we have beaten them all under Dyche! (And three of them under Coyle!)

Might be 4 English clubs in the two finals for the second season in three.
I assumed this was potentially the 1st time it's happened, completely forgot it happened 2 years ago.

Might be an English club final, but let’s see how many English players take part.

I’ll opt for 3...
Chilwell James Mount Walker Foden Stones, I'd guess more than 3.

Abraham, Hudson-Odoi and Sterling will be involved in some form, although whether they'll make it onto the field is another question entirely.

Foden v Mount in the midfield should be an interesting tussle to witness, are they competing head-to-head for an England starting this summer?, personally I'd play them both, but GS may have different ideas.

I'm not Southgates biggest fan but he's screwed either way, if he starts Mount and we don't win the Euros, he should've started Grealish instead etc. damned either way. We have incredible choices in midfielder/attack though, I think Foden/Grealish/Mount/Kane all have to start no idea where that leaves Sancho/Rashford/Sterling.

Not really, based on the money our team cost it shouldn't have mattered who we got drawn against. Quite simply we under performed and should have done better

Yeah we could be like the Chinese league, where previous world class players go to see out their time with one last massive payday, and English clubs could boast about how big a club they are in World football by securing the services of these players....
Messi has 28 goals and 11 assists in 32 games this season. Ronaldo has 27 & 2 in 30. I’d say it’s a bit previous to call those two “previous world class players”. They’re very much world class and the two biggest draws in the world game.

Think Neymar (29), Mbappe (22) and Haaland (20) might have a few more contracts in them too.

They certainly wont want the liked of us in it then. I'm just pleased Leicester has gatecrashed the party.
I think they will. They need 19 other teams to play against and I think we offer something different than the others.

One area I think we do pretty well in the PL is allowing a more even distribution on the money that allows us to be competitive - we’ve beaten most of the top teams. I’d like to hope the ESL debacle has taught them that they need to strengthen that now by supporting those clubs more than ever. Not sure it will though.

Both started recent international qualifiers with Foden operating from the right/left and Mount as an 8/10.

Think that’s how they start at the euro’s too with Sterling occupying the other wing, and if both fit, Rice and Henderson in the middle.

Rashford/Sancho/Lingard/Grealish all starting from the bench.

Don't forget that we always have to start Rice and Henderson as the double-holding midfield combo, irrespective of who we're playing.
Pickford and Kane are givens
Eric Dier has to play because Gareth likes him
We'll need at least 2 right backs so Walker and Trippier in a back 5 of Tripps, Walker, Dier, McGuire and Chilwell

So Grealish, Mount, Foden, Sancho, Sterling and the rest are scrapping over 2 places.

Glenn Hoddle suggested Istanbul should be compensated and awarded it again for in a few years time and then move this year to England, best suggestion so far that I've heard.

Did anybody else keep hearing a loud whistle whenever a Real Madrid player went down? I could swear somebody on their bench was up to something.

No chance of that happening, they had Arsenal/Chelsea fans paying £3000 to travel to Azerbaijan for the EL final, wasn't that during the recent flare up of the conflict with Armenia too which meant Mkhitaryan couldn't attend.

I remember that, but Turkey are currently on full lockdown. Makes no sense in the current climate.

The one from a couple of years ago is different, tickets will have been sold previously etc.

Ticket sales is a good point, normally they're sold, flight's and hotels booked etc.

This time round there has been none of that thanks to Covid.

Also, Uefa won't be selling any corporate seats like normal.

Moving it makes sense for Covid reasons.

Aston Villa have contacted the FA and Uefa, offering Villa Park as an alternative venue.
